I think we introduced the concept around then. We would put her on the potty at bathtime, etc. Pretty soon she was asking to go on the potty although not really "go". I'm trying to remember but not long after she pee'd in the potty for the first time. She has since pee'd a ton at daycare but not so much at home. I think it helps that a lot of hte kids in her room are already potty trained. She's 23 months and I plan to attack it 100% next weekend when I'll be home with her for four straight days.

ETA: she peed in the potty just before she was 20 months.

I forget but one day we just decided... okay, we have to do this b/c I don't want two in diapers when our second came along in a few months! We were at least using a lot less diapers then so it paid off. He was around 2.5 almost 3 years.

We introduced it around 1 just to throw it out there and had her sit on it a while but it was a while later that she showed any interest in using it. This morning she asked to use it for the first time and actually went! She is almost 22 months.

We introduced the potty around 18 months. He enjoys sitting on it and will pee or poop by accident on it. He does know when he has to go, he just tells me as he's going. When he moves to the 2s they teach potty training. Right now the potty is just fun for him.

We bought a potty chair a month ago when she was 13- months. We are just trying to expose her to it at this point.
