My son is turning 3, and we are considering asking some of his school friends to his bday party this year. In previous years, we've just invited our family and friends. The kids present were DS's cousins and the children of our friends.

4th birthday. We've only been invited to one school party and it was his 3rd birthday. There has been a lot of birthdays this last month and DD hasn't been invited to any party!

We'll be inviting his friends for his 4th birthday this summer. We thought about it for his 3rd, but we ended up skipping a party and took him to an amusement park (I was pregnant and we figured it would be one of the last times it would be just the three of us).

I think we'll do it for his next birthday, when he turns 3. We just got invited to the party of a 2 year old in his daycare which I thought was too much.

We have yet to be invited to a bday party from school, so I may wait to see if we get invited to anything before the summer. I also might just wait until he is turning 4, especially since he will be moving into a new classroom 2 months before his birthday.

I just invited DS's two best friends from school to his 2nd birthday party, we've met up for park playdates with them outside of school though.

3. But only because none of our family loves close by and none of our friends have young kids.
If that wasn't our situation I'd have waited until 5.
