We visit my parents every summer, and that uses up most of our vacation time! We spend the rest of it visiting Mrs. Bee's parents in LA.
Would love to get away for a weekend without the kids, but don't see that happening anytime soon...

We are trying to plan a trip up to Boston this summer! It will be our first vacation to somewhere other than the grandparents as a family. I'm excited!! We will also go (as a family) to my best friend's cabin home in Maryland.
@mrbee: I love seeing the photos every year from your vacations at your parents house!!

We have a sort-of mini vacay this weekend. We are leaving tonight and coming back Sunday night for a friend's semi-destination wedding sans LO.
This whole week has been a mini vacation for me, because my inlaws came in to watch LO while we are gone, and I haven't had to cook 1 thing all week, PLUS LO is staying with them during the day, so I don't have to rush to do daycare drop-off/pick up. I've managed to get my hair done, and nails done. It's been nice!

DD and I go visit my family in NC for a couple weeks every summer. We will also probably take a trip within a trip and go see my sister who is working/living in Pigeon Forge, TN for the summer.
I want to plan a vacation with just DH for next year.

Long weekends in Newport (RI) and Martha's Vineyard next month, and then more "real vacation" to Disneyworld in may.

We just went to an out of town wedding last weekend so that's as close as we're going to get to a vacation for the next few months.

Hopefully in December to visit DH's family in Ecuador. We may try to go camping in July sometime. A few visits to my parents' lake cabin over the summer.
It's hard to get away because I'm working 6 days/week. But it's probably something we should try to do, ha!

Well we are supposed to be going to Tunisia in September but ISIS have been blowing up tourists and taking over towns there recently so I'm not sure if the trip is going to happen at this point!

May! We were meant to go home to NZ in May (I'm kiwi, DH is American, live here for now), but money + timing were wrong so mum is coming here. We're thinking of picking her up in NYC then heading upstate NY and over to Niagara Falls and Toronto (live in the Midwest). I'm pretty excited!

My husband and I MIGHT be going to the big island in June. It depends on if he makes his numbers at work. Should know in about two weeks.
Then at the end of June, we are taking a family vacation to Williamsburg.

First week of May - we're going to Tenerife (Canary Islands) for a week and I cannot wait! A week of sun and fun, with our little family of four, sounds like absolute heaven!

Maybe Hawaii in April/May... but need to do my taxes to see how much money we can spend on the trip.

We just booked a last minute trip to Santa Monica for the end of next week. Going to visit friends and hoping to convince DH to move to LA from NYC (fat chance, :)).

@mrbee: At the end of the summer we're doing a road trip to the east coast (Canada). We have some friends out there we plan on visiting and I'm super excited to camp our way out. Sleeping on the beach?! Heck yes!
