LOL! was he cute, at least?

With the exception of a recent event, it had been a long long time. I was at the local grocery store - sweat shirt, jeans (probably with dried, smeared banana puree or something on them), a messy bun...basically hot mess.

I was going to look at baby food and some creepy man stared at me as I walked by him at the other end of the aisle. He finally followed me and hesitated, so I thought maybe he was going to ask where to find something. And then he was like, "I just wanted to tell you you're really cute. sorry. just wanted to say. that you're really cute."

I was like "uhh.. thanks" and he just stayed standing there, so I kind of booked it! I was so hoping not to run into him again!!

Lol that is weird and creepy. I had this weird scraggly 40-something rock-washout looking dude ask if he could buy me a drink a few weeks ago when I was at a live band karaoke bar with my husband and a couple of friends of ours. It was weird. He asked if he could buy me a drink I was like "I'm married... that's my husband." (the guy standing RIGHT next to me with his arm on my shoulder.... lol). And he said okay and walked away. I sorta wanted to be like "and also pregnant... and also 20 years younger than you.... no". But that seemed like overkill.

About 2 years ago I went out for dinner after yoga class with my classmates. We went to a local pho restaurant and a guy came up to us and told me he thought I was pretty. I didn't know what to say except "thanks". I thought it would be rude if I said I was married since he didn't ask me out. The weird part was after he told me that he stuck around to talk to some of my classmates for some technical talk. Awkward.

A few weeks ago the barista at Starbucks gave me a free pastry and then winked at me. DH and LO were waiting in the car. I got in the car and said, "Mama's still got it!"

I got whistled at in the Kroger parking lot a couple nights ago. That's always so awkward!

I forgot when it was, but I was out, without DH and the baby. It felt nice - went home and told DH I still had it!

I get weirdos who will whistle at me while I'm running, and by whistle I mean rev their truck engines bc that's hot. Lady Gaga and I are like 'whatever ghetto fab!'

@Arden: At least you weren't nursing while he hit on you. That would have been extremely creepy.

I got hit on last week by an older Indian guy who was doing contracting work on a home that I walked past with LO on our way to her child care.

I think that because my city is one where everyone walks or takes public transportation, being hit on happens a lot. I get hit on weekly--but it's weird to me that guys are hitting on me while I'm pushing LO in a stroller. WTF?

@mrsjazz: you are so right... going to Philly or DC when I walk more is such an ego boost. Darn right they were hiring on you with a stroller. Don't you know blended families are in? Lol

last summer I bumped into this guy who grew up around the corner from me at a bar celebrating my bff's bday. We talked for a really, really long time, but in (what I at least thought was) a totally platonic/friendly way--I was sort of hoping he'd stick around to chat up my bff! haha. but seriously, we were talking about like work, our hometown, people we knew in common--nothing flirty at all! dh kept bringing me drinks so I thought it was obvious I was with him, plus, you know, wedding ring and all...but at one point, I said something about him being my husband, and this guy literally said "oh, you're married" in the saddest voice! I felt really bad, but also pretty dang flattered! Also dh totally thought the guy was hitting on me and thought it was hilarious that I didn't realize it. oops!

My home is new construction so there are always construction workers hanging out in our neighborhood. They will yell at me while I'm running.. keep in mind I'm pushing B in the BOB. Weirdos...

Ugh. Why are men so awkward?

The day after Halloween when giving my candy leftovers to my neighbors. He apparently lives with my neighbors directly next door but I've never seen him before. He said something like he wanted to share the candy with me., I was thinking if you live right next to me how do you not know I'm GAY married.

The time before that was when I tripped and completely wiped out while at a gas station. Really? Thanks but I gotta get the eff out of here please don't look at me.

This summer at my SILs bachelorette party, a guy came up to me and told me he'd hit that. I laughed and said I was married. He told me he was too, but it's cool, just don't tell his wife.

I was all CREEPER get awayyyyy.
