Mostly Old Navy, Gap and Banana Republic. I have a long torso and all 3 brands have a good selection. Sometimes JCrew and Jcrew factory. The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is coming- I buy shoes bags and makeup there whenever but usually don't buy much clothing unless it's during the NSale. I'm not having much luck with Stichfix either.

I like Asos.

@Bluebonnet: I agree with trying to get yourself to a store like Nordstrom if that is a remote possibility. I love the convienence of online shopping, I really do. However I sometimes feel like I keep some stuff I'm like 75% in love with partly because I don't want to go through the hassle of a return (even if it's free) or i keep a size that isnt quite right because I don't want to hassle with an exhange. If I needed a wardrobe overhaul I'd try to go in person with a game plan

I've found, surprisingly enough, some great pieces on Amazon that I've gotten tons of compliments on. I also like Nordstrom. My preference is to have mostly boring but classic base pieces, and then make it interesting with scarfs or jewelry from etsy.

Pretty much same as above, I almost online online shop now because I have two toddlers and am pregnant with a 3rd plus I WOH so time is limited.

I like Gap tops--their bottoms don't fit me well, Old Navy for really casual stuff and Nordstrom's.

@bees_knees: for post partum- I HIGHLY recommend the blanqi post partum leggings. They are so comfortable. I also live in my vsx sport pants.
The other post partum tops I love are the old navy boyfriend linen tees- I have olive, gray, and black. They are loose and slouchy, but low cut so easy to breastfeed.

As for regular clothes:
I live in leggings and tunic tops when I'm not working. Or workout clothes lol. So I love Lucy high rise leggings, lululenon, and athleta.

I love loft, BR and American eagle for regular clothes! Oh and evereve. Love love.

I live rural too. Gap is most reliable, then Old Navy - love the free returns. Amazon I have had decent luck with when I search for a specific thing I want - like a white blazer or a kimono cardigan - but I only get Prime items with free returns. It's also how I shop for bras nowadays!

I buy a lot of Kohl's stuff too because I can stack coupons - Dana Buchman and Chaps work well for me with work pieces, but their house brands like Apt 9 and Sonoma work for basics like lightweight open cardigans and jersey dresses - they are cheap and fit me well.

Gap has a maternity maxi skirt that I adored for both my pregnancies. I got it in black and wore it all the time.

For summer, I'm loving the Tencel wide leg draw string pants from Gap - they look like judo pants - but so cool and comfy and I pair with a tank top and light kimono cardigan and it looks fashionable but I feel like I'm wearing pajamas. I also love my Gap boyfriend jeans and my Gap jogger sweats.

I also like the Old Navy boyfriend shirts but in the cotton or slub material. I've also had the best luck with shorts from them the last two years.

Democracy mid rise jeggings are my go-to jeans. They are reasonably priced and comfy and I can find them on Amazon.

I swear by the Land's End fit and flare dress in all lengths and sleeves - it's forgiving pregnant, postpartum, nursing, or not! Soft and stretchy, easy to nurse in, tons of options.

I have been liking my Girlfriend Collective high waist leggings.

Althetic wear I really have liked the Champion sports bras and yoga pants from Target (u can buy online). The Mossimo brand plain cotton v-neck tshirts are super soft and cheap.

Shoes is Zappos.

Rather than focus on the stores, I would try to piece together a couple of "uniform" options. Think about where you need to go, what you're doing, and then go from there.

A couple of ideas:

For the park: go athletic and get a pair of cropped leggings or yoga pants in a solid color, then add a layering tank and one of those cool, opened back or drape tops. Add a hat and sunglasses for those extra coverage days, and a pair of brightly colored sneakers. When you get more confident in this look, switch up the solid crops for a printed pair, add a slouchy sweatshirt, or go sleek with a zip up jacket in a bright color. Another option is a skort (skirt with a pair of bike shorts underneath), I get mine from Athleta. You can run around, sit on the ground and you're covered, no underwear flashing and you don't have the restrictions of a maxi dress!

For more dressed up occasions, like going to a kid's birthday party: get a pair of jeans...I really like the Levis mid rise skinny. I wear them with the cuffs folded over twice a the bottom about 1.5 inches, with a pair of flat sandals or my Jack Purcell sneakers. On top, I will usually wear a tunic style top that reaches my mid hip, not longer otherwise the proportions are all off. This look also works if you have to go to a meeting at the kids school, or out to a museum, etc.

Lastly, get a good haircut. It's your best accessory.

@looch: Good point about a uniform. Actually the bloggers I posted above call it their "momiform". I have the same basic look and I just try to switch it up with different colors/patterns.

Every day momming:
For me in winter/fall it's black skinny jeans and booties, and summer/spring it's distressed boyfriend jeans or shorts with flat sandals, usually fun metallic birkenstocks. And I just love basic t-shirts and tanks from J Crew and Madewell so I wear those year round and layer as appropriate - spring and fall I do denim jacket or leather jacket, summer is maybe a light weight long open cardigan, and winter is chunky sweaters.
Super casual when I just don't feel like styling myself, I like cute sweatpants or joggers more than leggings. Expensive but can find on sale - Monroe and Sundry make awesome sweatpants. And the NB for JCrew sneakers.

More dressy if I'm meeting a friend for lunch or drinks, I do skinny jeans (black or blue in fall/winter and usually white in spring/summer) and a sleeveless blouse. Again, I layer appropriately and dress up the footwear.
TRYING to do more cute dresses this spring and summer.

Anyway, it sounds like a lot but I wear the same general outfit every day, I just switch up colors and accessories. I'm TRYING to be more exciting in my footwear and tops - now that he's not a baby baby and I'm not going to get as messy from spit up or flung food, I want to wear more cute tops with shorts or jeans instead of JUST cotton tees and tanks. Examples:

@looch: Cute!!! I'm in love with all the lace up styles this year, but I have cankles. I'm pretty thin but I just have no definition in my legs and so my ankles are thick and anything that wraps around my ankle is a no-go. Believe me I've tried. It makes me so sad. Haha.

@SweetiePie: I just love shoes, I have a ton that I never wear, so I really didn't NEED these, but I couldn't resist them.

I am also getting a pair of denim cut offs, I just need to take some time and get to a store to try on a couple pairs....I am not good enough with the scissors and distressing to do it myself, hahaha!

@looch: OMG so I tried to do a pair of cutoffs myself 2 nights ago. Epic. Fail. Haha I'll stick to buying them.
I live in cut offs for the summer and got all of my current ones from Nordstrom Rack and TJ maxx. Good brands - JBrand and AG. I'm obsessed with this new pair from A Gold E but they are full priced and I just can't bring myself to do it. They're the ones I tried to mimic and make myself the other night. Haha.

Also tried a great pair from Madewell that are only $69. They are called Perfect Cut Off I think?
Oh and I do have one great pair from J Crew I got a couple years back.
I do find with cutoffs it's better to go bigger in size. I'm between 2 sizes in jeans but with cutoffs its always better if I go with the bigger size.

Would love to hear suggestions for super hot weather/summery clothes. It is too hot where I live for jeans and leggings! I mostly wear athletic/running shorts and tanks when not at work... sooo not super stylish.

Uniforms are the way to go for sure. Everyone in our family lives in uniforms. It makes shopping so easy and affordable for the whole family.

Right now I work 3 days a week, so I basically wear black slacks, a stretchy top/blouse of some kind (something 3/4 length or flutter sleeve in the summer so I don't have to wear a second layering cardigan), and my Dansko sandals.

Non-working days or weekends I wear:

- Skinny jeans, culottes, or a boyfriend jeans with a long layering tank, a slouchy t-shirt or a thin kimono cardigan.

- Joggers and a t-shirt.

- Linen shorts or cutoffs with a t-shirt

- Maxi dresses or some soft comfy dress is usually for church.

@MrsADS: If it were me, I would probably swap out the running shorts for a skort. You still have the coverage and the technical fabric, but it's a tiny bit more dressed up and gives you more shoe options. I wore these on a beach vacation in the Mediterranean in July, where it was easily 100 degrees every day, and I was perfectly covered and cool. They have tons of options in colors and cuts, I happen to favor the one below.
