We're visiting my family right now and all four of us will be nice and cozy in my mom's room. DD1 and I sleep in my moms bed, dd2 in a pack n play and DH in a twin on the floor. Poor guy is 6'3!
It's tight quarters but it allows us more time with everyone and staying at a hotel is just unheard of. 
And DD1 loves waking up in her cousins' home!

We always take the pack n play but LO usually ends up sleeping between us on the full size bed in the IL's guest room. Not always fun!

We live close to my family, so it doesn't usually require over night stay; but, if we are staying over night, we usually stay in my sister's room or my old bedroom with hubby and I in the bed and DD in the pack 'n play. If we are visiting hubby's family we are out of town and I usually request that we stay in a hotel (I need my space away from them, as does my hubby!). Then LO is in the pack 'n play and we share the bed.

DH and I stay in my old room. DS stays in a crib in my sisters old room that is now an office.

I have no idea how we are going to travel now that there are 4 of us, and C is getting too big for the pack and play!! At my parents house it probably won't be an issue since they have plenty of rooms (I'm one of five kids and they still live in the house we grew up in!). But we usually stay with my sister. It will be interesting...

My parents converted their exercise room into a temporary nursery for LO for when we visit. They even picked up a dresser, crib, and change table. At the ILs we bring a PNP and he sleeps in our room (DH's old room). We need to use a space heater for him since their house is so cold, but we are okay with it since we are in the room with him.

At my parents DD1 sleeps on a twin in the guest room. DD2 sleeps with her in there in a PNP.
DH, the baby, and I will stay in the other guest room with a queen and a travel crib.I have no idea how we'all do it at MIL's house. Last time it was me, DH, DD1 sharing MIL's king bed with DD2 in a PNP. I hate sleeping in her room, but the guest room only has a pullout couch and the door is blocked by furniture so forget keeping a curious three year old in bed in that scenario.
I'm hoping the next time we go DH will spring for a hotel room.

They have a pack and play in the spare room. She used to nap there when she still took naps (they have her three days a week) and she sleeps there if we stay over or if they have her overnight. Trouble is, she has outgrown it and they use the room as a storage room - its simply not safe to leave her alone in there if she isn't confined. I'm hoping they come up with a solution soon - I don't want to bring it up because they're doing us a huge favour by having her when they do.

For a while he was in the pnp in the room I stay in. But then they cleaned out a spare room and now he stays there. It's so much more relaxing to not have to tip toe, fumble in the dark, and whisper! He goes to bed so early (6/7) so it was tricky sharing.

@regberadaisy: Now that we're in the same city as my mom we don't have to worry about it much. Same for my dad who is half an hour away.
For the inlaws now that she is too big for the playpen, she and we squeeze into the worlds most uncomfortable bed pushed against the wall. It's bigger than a twin but I don't think it's a double.... -
DH and I usually sleep in one of my sisters' beds, and sometimes LO will sleep in there with us. More often than not, though, she'll sleep with someone else, either one of her aunts or my parents. Fine with me!

My ILs have a crib but my DD doesn't like it at night (I think it's just too cold) so she just sleeps between us on a full bed and it's cramped.

DD2 woke up in the MOTn and wound up in bed with DD1 and I bc I didn't want to wake the whole house up with her crying. By the morning both girls were pressed up against me and I was on the very edge of the bed. Not fun!

When we visit my in-laws, we stay at a hotel. When we go to my parents, DS has always slept in the playpen in my room. Now that he sleeps in a bed, he'll probably sleep in the extra bed in my brother's room.

@regberadaisy: how can little people take up so much if the bed? This morning my 7 week old someone managed to get me all the way to the edge of the bed so 9/10 of a king size bed was empty.

Dd sleeps in dhs sisters old room, me and Dh sleep in his old room and Ds sleeps in the office at my in laws.
At my parents, Dd sleeps in the spare bedroom and me, Dh and Ds sleep upstairs. We have to sneak in supper quietly after Ds is asleep. I much prefer separate rooms for everyone. I don't think Ds would ever ever ever sleep in a bed with me

Last visit to my parent's house we put LO on a twin mattress on the floor in my old room and DH and I slept in my brother's old room.

LO sleeps in a double bed in the front guest room and we sleep in the queen bed in the back guest room.

My parents have 3 guestrooms so in the past, like at Christmas, our family had the basement - my parents bought a crib so B sleeps in that, and we sleep in the room next door. But we've now borrowed the crib for the new baby until we can get B into a toddler bed, so next time we visit I'm not sure what will happen - B in a playpen and the baby in a bassinet? B in bed with us and the baby in the playpen? No more visits until everybody is bigger? With the inlaws it's even more complicated because they only have 1 spare room so we've all shared it, but 4 to a room seems like a lot....

My inlaws technically have 3 bedrooms, but one is an office. If it all went according to plan, we'd be able to sleep in one room using a full futon and a twin fold out bed.

Our parents live nearby, so we never spend the night. The kids like to have sleepovers at my in-law's house, and they sleep in their bedroom with them. LO1 sleeps on a twin mattress on the floor, and LO2 sleeps in his Baby Bjorn travel crib.

We don't need to visit any family (well, we do but they're in HK...) But if/when we travel anywhere I think DD will just sleep with us since we do that at home and it's fine. I'd just have to come up with some safety measures wherever we are.
