At my old job I had to pump in the women's bathroom

I'm a teacher so I pumped in a little room off the nurse's office. It sucked mainly because you could hear kids coming in. I was always nervous someone would open the door.

This was at my old job, so I had a pumping room. I currently have my own office, so I hope that I'll just have to do it here for the next go-around.

First 6 months: A storage closet. There was no table, so I had to balance my pump on my knees while I held the flanges with my arm.

Last 3 months: An old office. Very nice, with a window and a view. However, I accidentally flashed some construction workers on the roof of the building next door.

I mostly used an empty office down the hall; occasionally my primary office when my officemate wasn't around.

I'm a teacher and I pump in the faculty bathroom that's in the faculty workroom where all the teachers go during planning. So, it's super crowded and loud and everyone knows what I'm doing. Plus it's kind of gross because it's the bathroom. But my other choice was across the campus in an exam room in the nurse's office and I wouldn't have enough time during planning

I'm a nurse and I pumped in our educator's office. She was so sweet about it but I had to ask her to leave her office each time that I needed to pump (in addition to asking coworkers to cover my patients). It made the whole thing so much more stressful! She's done the same for other pumping moms in the past.

We are technically supposed to pump in the NICU but it's way too far away and I would never want to go into the NICU with my germy scrubs!

I have pumped in a meeting/conf room with curtains and a lock, a spare office, a bathroom, and a big storage room in a different suite down the hall.

To all the teachers: What is with us being offered the nurse's office? That's what I was offered, too. With all the kids constantly in there, RIGHT THERE, hearing you and know what you are doing? No thanks.

Not to mention, for me, it's way across the building and way far from the faculty room where the fridge is.

I'm a nurse and I just pump in an empty patient room - I don't want to be gone longer than I need to be because I have to go down 5 floors to get to the pump room.

Dedicated pumping room, 10 feet from my office. I'm the only person using it which I love, I feel comfortable leaving my pump and parts in there all the time.

I would feel nervous pumping in my own office with the door closed! People would come knocking wanting to chat, I'm sure.

We have a nursing mothers room at work in HR. It has comfy seats, lockers, and a mini fridge.

@Anagram: I know! It's the only room (that's not a bathroom) without a window. Plus it's technically the "sick" room where kids go to lay down until a parent can pick them up. Um, no thanks. I'll just keep bringing my foldable chair into the bathroom

A corner in the basement. It's not really private and I am sitting on the floor. I don't mind. Girls got to do what she's got to do. It's better than our tiny shared office where 4 of us work and have meetings...

We had empty offices designed for people to use for meetings, phone calls, etc. there was one next to my cubicle so I always just used that. Worked out great! At my new job, we have a mothers room but I don't have a laptop so I am hoping I can ask for one by then so I can keep working. It's across the office but I also Have a shower/changing room (but no toilet so not technically a bathroom) with a nice comfy bench in it right next to my cube that I'd be happy to use. We have at least 5 pregnant women due in spring right now so I don't want to have to deal with sharing. I may also ask my work BFF who has an office next to me if I could use hers from time to time. Will need to request a shade to be installed. I'll make it work somehow!
