So we're lucky to have a pretty good night sleeper (knock on wood). But every single time a parent asks me about her sleep and I say she's always been a good (night) sleeper I get a "Just wait!"

I've heard about sleep regressions on here, but by definition a "regression" would be a return to an earlier state. So I'm curious, I guess, if regressions are often the WORST sleep ever? Or just a return to a previous poor sleep habit. I.e. is newborn sleep generally the worst it will ever be? Or have you had a regression be worse than the newborn days? (In actual terms-- not just frustration because newborn days are expected to suck and regressions are more of a surprise).

So, when did your baby sleep the WORST in absolute terms? Did you have a period of sleep that was ever worse than your first few weeks home from the hospital?
