For my job, I would probably do Mon, Tues, Thurs or Tues, Thurs, Fri. That's just what works best for my job's work flow.

I work in two locations, I do a M/W/F in one location and a T/T in the other. It works because I am onsite for certain meetings that are held on Thursday.

From a kid's perspective, I like consecutive days, like M/T/W.

I would choose Mon, Tues, Wed

I do Tues, Wed, Thurs. It works out great, and I love having Mondays at home. It makes Sundays so much more relaxing.

I do Monday Tuesday Thursday. I like having two days in a row in the office to get into a little bit of a groove, and I love having three day weekends.

In my profession (lawyer) Fridays seem to be the most popular day to take off from work, especially in nice weather, so I feel like people barely notice I'm out on Fridays.

Another vote for Tuesday Wednesday Thursday. Sundays are better because it isn't the day before the work week starts. Kids have 3 consecutive days in a row with childcare and 4 consecutive days of parental care. Plus you are at work 3 consecutive days during the core of the work week so that might be beneficial in your employer's eyes.

I think the idea of consecutive days is a good one for the reasons others have posted (work grove, routine for kids, etc.). I have a friend that works Tuesday-Thursday and the only thing she says is that it is hard to be out of the office Mondays because that's when a lot of replies/follow-up ocurrs and she feels like Tuesdays are a little overwhelming as a result. I think it also took some time for her co-workers to get used to her schedule/learn that if they wait to send her something Thursday afternoon, they won't get a response until Tuesday. But they eventually figured it out!

Do you have any daycare/preschool concerns? I know a lot of places here have either M/W/F or T/R programs. Knowing that I would do M/W/F for cheaper care.

I would choose Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

Office, Tues-Thurs and home Mon & Fri

I do this today! I go into work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays and work from home on Mondays and Thursdays. I chose Mondays and Thursdays for home b/c of my dad's schedule, but it's so nice to not have to get up early on Mondays!
