I'm always curious to know why people chose certain college majors and thus careers, or jobs in general - whether they'd change anything, what they like/dislike, etc...
I didn't know what I wanted to do when I graduated high school. I had a few ideas - a doctor was something I really wanted to do but I didn't have the grades and frankly didn't get started on it early enough to make it worth it... I always loved the health industry and knew I wanted to do something there. Once I had my son, I decided to pursue nursing school - health/helping people was my passion, but also I knew that the career could be really family-friendly with a lot of different options for schedules and specialties.
How about you?
So I majored in ed and became a teacher. No brainer for me.

libraries! We have a similar educational background (although my major was linguistics), but I ended up in publishing (but within a large accounting firm, not stand-alone).
