Was reading about the jobs that everyone had in college, and a lot of us have worked for tips at some point! The big surprise to me about working for tips was: 1) how important tips were both financially and emotionally and 2) how I remembered every single customer and how well they tipped!

It feels like just yesterday that my tips would make or break my month. To this day, I try to return the favor - and also, just be nice to people in service professions. I go to the same cafes, and I try and learn the staff's names so I can say hello. Pretty sure that a good tip means more than most acts of kindness though!

Do you (or did you ever) work for tips? Share your stories here if you remember them!
