I'm so curious to hear how other working mamas navigate the world of mom friendships. I live in an area where a lot of moms stay home. Because of that, most activities geared towards children are on weekday mornings - MOPS, library story time, swim classes, toddler gymnastics.

There are a few things offered on weekends and evenings but our weekdays are so busy that I find myself just wanting to hang out and not commit to another obligation.

I have great friends who were friends before I had my daughter, but I'm realizing I haven't made very many mom friends since she was born. I guess I need to just step up my game and get involved in something that meets on the weekend or an evening, right? She's just now turning 1, so maybe now that we're able to do more activities it'll be easier?

How have you met other mom friends? Is it easier when your kid is older? I found babyhood really not conducive to getting out and meeting new people.
