Yes!!! It was always my dream to have twin boys. I got my boys and married an identical twin, so I guess that's next best.

Fun fact I learned my last pregnancy -- fraternal twins are what is hereditary (according to my fraternal twin OB lol)!

No thanks! We have several sets of twins in our family, after seeing what's involved, I'm good with singletons.

I have twins and I was ecstatic about it because we went through IVF so getting two out of the deal seemed perfect. The first year of having twins has had a lot of ups and downs. More downs, to be honest, but my sister's twins are much easier than mine (good sleepers and eaters! Which is where all my stress has been). Anyway, I'm glad we have twins. I don't think I'd want another set!

Yup! In high school, I thought having twins would be so cool. I know I didn't think of the reality of it. It's nice that through IVF I got my wish but still cautious about it. I'm sure I'll (shhh...) Regret it on some days but I need to remind myself that my long journey with IF (hopefully) helps us with twin parenting. At least, much better had we gotten pregnant with twins 3 years ago.

Hell to the no! DH and I don't want to be outnumbered. Not to mention the financial side of it.

Noooo! But mostly bc I've loved being pregnant so much, I don't want to feel gypped by not getting to experience it again. Of course I haven't delivered yet so I may have a different answer next month!

No. We only want two kids, and I think I would have had a really hard time knowing I was only going to go through everything once. The thing that helps me as I get sad when C outgrows a certain stage is knowing I'll do it again with another baby. I think I'd be a basket case every time my twins outgrew something since is never have a (nonwalker, pre talker, solely breastfed...) baby again.

Not to mention how much harder it seems of course!

With this second pregnancy I wouldn't have wanted twins because our lives are just not set up for three kids. We would have had to move (we will barely fit in our two bed condo), get a new car, I don't even know what else.

So, yeah I'm good with two singles. But I'm sure from the twins perspective they have an amazing relationship (I hope!).

Forget that! I spent three summers helping my aunt with her newborn twins and it was really challenging even with two people to take care of the babies and keep up a house. Then theres how expensive it is at once! No thanks

No way. Not ever. I nannied for multiple sets of twins at various times and know it's not for me.

Yes. 4 is my ideal number although we are probably not having anymore. 2 more children and only one pregnancy would be awesome, but it would be hard in double the expense at the time (2 more daycare costs at the same time...yikes). I think it would be a truly special blessing.

Heck yes! Especially battling infertility, it'd be awesome to have the opportunity to "catch up" a bit if you will. Boy girl.

@stiletto_mom: Fraternal twins can only be genetic on the woman's side, since it has to do with releasing 2 eggs, nothing to do with sperm. So your chances are as good as any of the rest of us!

I actually had a dream the other night that I was pregnant with B/G twins (in addition to the two I already have). It scared the pants off of me! I think I could have been ok with twins for my first pregnancy but only because I wouldn't have had any idea what I was getting into. For subsequent pregnancies, no way!
