I see what you mean, but I think you will get used to it. My parents have a window set up just like this, but with the half round window bigger (like what you had originally), so to me, it does look off, but that's because what I'm used to.

At this point, I would wait to see if you get used to it. The work is already done, and like you said, I would not want to loose the natural light by removing the window completely.

@autumnleaves: I think what matters is does it bother you? People tell me all the time that they don't notice the things in my kitchen that I hate (we recently redid the cabinets and I hate a certain part of them). Yet, it still bothers me. So, I would go with your gut and if it's going to bother you, change it.

I think it's fine. It would never catch my attention if I was just looking at your house. I know it's weird when a big change happens to your own house -- it looks SO different. But I think maybe you'll get used to it?

I think it's fine! However do you want or need a lot of light in that room? That might be the only reason to go bigger. But bigger will like by $$$$ so don't know if that is worth it to you.

We have windows exactly like that. On the outside it looks funny but inside it looks totally normal.

I think it looks small but looking closer I see that anything bigger would look odd because it would end in the middle of the outer two windows and not really "line up".

Here's ours, looks exactly the same as yours. I agree it's a little weird outside, but I think it looks great inside.
