What sort of things make you feel old?
DH invited me to go with him to a show tonight, the doors open at 8. He then mentions the particular band he's going to see doesn't go on until 11:30pm. What?! Forget about it. I just can't hang like I used to.

One of the last weddings I went to made me feel old. I was sitting with an old friend of mine and we really wanted to catch up but the music was too loud, the wedding started too late and dinner wasn't served until after 9, reception wasn't over until after midnight. Too late! (Aka we are too old).

Walking by forever21 and thinking "who the hell would wear that crap" pretty sure me when I was in my early twenties. Yep, I'm old.

I recently walked into Ambercrombie & Fitch on a whim. Saw a cute "tunic" but couldn't find my size. I asked the guy working if they had more. He looked at me like I had 3 heads and said "umm...Its a dress." I walked out of the store.
I was also at the doctor recently and heard the girl in front of me say her birthday was in 1995 & my first thought was "why is this child at the doctor without her mother?" I can't fathom that the 90s were 20 years ago

Last month we were out in NYC on the Lower East Side after my husband's band had a show. I felt ancient when we were hanging out at a lounge after just b/c it's something I haven't done in a while and everyone there looked like early 20's.

I was talking to a young kid about Stephen Curry and compared him to Michael Jordan, and the kid said, "Who is Michael Jordan?"

I said something about Friends at bell choir rehearsal and most of the kids had never seen Friends.

@PointeShoesTutus: haha! I test hearing for an ENT, and I'll see kids with birthdates that are like 2000, 2001. I prep for these little wee kids, and then these giant teenagers walk in. So old.

@mrbee: That's just unacceptable.
I went to the Penn State Pitt game last weekend. Before the game, Pitt chancellor sent out an email to the alumni. He said the last time Pitt played Penn State was in 2000...most of this year's freshman class was 2 years old. I was in my final semester of college. Ouch.
