I'm so sorry you're going through this agonizing wait. Praying very hard for you my friend

@jaguar: That last update definitely looks darker to me. I know it's hard not to be negative but all you can really do is wait for the betas. I didn't have early losses (except a vanishing twin that I didn't know about until it was already done very early) but I did have slow to increase betas (due to twin passing, they were really high and then slowed) and bleeding and 3 ultrasounds before we got a heartbeat with my last pregnancy. As my OB said at that third ultrasound, you just never know in early pregnancy. Hope your wait speeds up and you have a sticky baby in there.

Update: It has gone up, but hasn't doubled. From 51 to 81 in 48 hours. Progesterone is still the same at 30. I'm supposed to keep on keeping on and have more bloods next Tuesday.

@jaguar: what did they say about it? Promising or expect the worst? Im sure it's so frustrating that it just can't be conclusive...

@travellingbee: They are not hopeful. It's implanted, but it is obviously not doing well - so to expect the worst. BUT they won't let me stop all meds until they're 100% certain, hence the 4-day wait this time. I just want this done. Feel like I'm being kicked in the guts.

@jaguar: I'm so sorry. I had a loss that was like that in January. Rising but not doubling. It was so frustrating and disheartening because you'd get some hope then it would be dashed. At least my first loss was clearly not right, right away. That said, I hope that things turn around for you. I've heard lots of stories with positive outcomes from others.

@jaguar: I've been checking to see how you were going, I'm so, so sorry you're in this awful limbo

@travellingbee: My second-last loss was like this too. 61 then 86 then 76. A giant frigging tease. We're going down that road again now, it seems. I am so bloody over this.

@jaguar: I am so so sorry you are being dealt this horrible blow. Praying that things turn around and this was just a slow doubler

Ugh, I'm sorry - that wasn't the promising news you were hoping to hear. I'm still going to keep everything crossed and hope for the best for you!

@jaguar: my first two betas were 48 hours apart and were 46 and 55 respectively. Not good. Somehow I'm closing in on 14 weeks and at my u/s at 8w was normal. Im hoping for a similar outcome for you!!!!!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@sslm: Oh man.. I hope we're so lucky. What happens with your betas after that? And was your progesterone okay? Congrats on 14 weeks. x

@jaguar: I was sure I was going to miscarry so I didn't go for another beta until a week later because I hadn't started bleeding yet. It was 995 or something. I was so skeptical until the u/s! And really I still am. I think I'll breathe a little easier after the anatomy scan. For what it's worth my doctor said they don't panic unless it hasn't doubled in 72 hours. Really hoping for the best for you!!!

@jaguar: my first number was 41, and my RE said it might take 72 hours to double, which mine did. And my progesterone was 11, and she said 10 was the bare minimum to sustain a pregnancy. I refused to allow myself to get attached because I just knew it was too low. LO is sleeping in my lap right now. I hope and pray you have a similar outcome.

@sslm: No bleeding or anything here, but I think that's all the heavy duty pessaries for the FET. I hope it's smooth sailing for you from here on in!
@dc yoga bee: I am hanging on to your story, hope hope hope. But also terror.
Thank you for hanging in there with me ladies. I know our history for good pregnancies is pretty dire now, but part of me still wants to be a miracle... even though my heart is preparing for another loss.
