@chopsuey119: It's so great! It has a really complete food database (I mean EVERY brand is on there!) and workout database too. You set your weight goals and it tells you how many calories to eat. It's so great!

@chopsuey119: haha I know right! It's my favorite app. I'm not super religious about logging in every day and I'm kinda bummed there is no breastfeeding option - obviously I can't eat as few calories as they say - but that's not a huge issue.
Sometimes I'll browse the workouts to see what things burn how many calories. It's fun.
And I love how extensive the food database is, everything I buy from trader joes, costco or anywhere else is in there, even organic stuff. And you can add your own recipes.
yeah I'll shut up now haha I just love it.

wow! I've never been one to track my food but I just added what I ate for lunch and the circus animal cookies I had an hour ago and I only want to eat healthy for dinner!....but want and actually doing it is a whole different story...

haha! well 2 lbs a week is a lot. I would say you probably shouldn't ever eat less than 1500 calories as a rule of thumb. I'm surprised it even suggests it that low.
@enjollah: this makes it so easy. I could never keep up with food journals, but this makes it fun! and you're right, it makes you want to log in healthy food
and yeah... I'm being a little lenient with myself on the calories because of breastfeeding. I know I need to eat more than what it tells me. So for now I eat when I feel hungry, but make sure it's something healthy, like veggie, fruit, crackers + cheese, etc.
@cupcakemama: I'm not sure.. I have it on my iPod and don't have an android so I wouldn't know.

@cupcakemama: yeah I'm pretty pathetic in that area too. I modify every workout in each class I take at the YMCA. I tell myself it's cause I just had a baby, but I know that I wouldn't have been able to do it before that anyway!

@miss-spunkin: yep. I do weights at the gym and I am a runner so I am trying to get some consistency with that. It's kind of two steps forward, one step back though.

@cupcakemama: I am envious of runners. I have a hard time running, I am trying to do the C25K program and couldn't even finish the first workout lol

@miss-spunkin: keep at it! It's such a great workout! One tip I will make is that most beginners run too fast. You need to start really slow. Also, running outside is way easier than on the treadmill. At least I think so. 20 minutes on the TM and I want to chew my arm off.

@cupcakemama: yeah that's the way C25K works, pretty slow. The first workout is a brisk 5 min warm up walk, then alternating running/walking every 90 seconds for 20 minutes, then 5 minutes cool-down walk. But I only made it 15 minutes my first work out
blah. But it was a full mile.

@enjollah: today I was actually under, but the goal they set for me is 2,000 calories, and I had about 1700 today.
I actually hardly ever go over. I try to eat a mostly "whole foods" diet, so even if I eat a lot of veggies, it's very low-cal. That's my secret
haha.
I'm really not sure what I should be aiming for while breastfeeding though... do you?

@miss-spunkin: from what I've read on different sites/books, they say that when breastfeeding, you should have anywhere from 300-500 calories. I haven't been tracking but I know I've been eating a lot and don't always choose the healthiest snacks.

Since having DD#2 my eating habits have been the worst they have ever been
I "stress eat" a lot and even though I'm bf'ing all the time still, I have 10-15 lbs to lose!
I started C25K last week because it helped me lose weight after my first baby, but I haven't run since last Fri... I keep making excuses... Hope this helps motivate me!

I've had some consistent 1lb loss just like it said I would so that's encouraging. This week I made the mistake of eating Dominos and then bloating up 2 dang lbs of water. So, I'm trying to get that off so my weigh in tomorrow wont be frustrating.

@NYCaliMama: yay! We can motivate each other, I'm trying the C25K as well but haven't run since last Wednesday (but I've been to the gym three times). I signed for for a 5k in July as motivation- it's been on my "bucketlist" too!
