I've been very out of breath lately. I'm 15w4d. I woke up this morning and had to sit up to catch my breath.
I googled it and it might be the babies laying on my diaphragm.
I'm wondering if I'll become more out of breath as the pregnancy continues.

All. The. Time. I've found it helps me to lean forward, but it's really annoying.

@Torchwood: Thanks for the tip. It does feel better when I lean forward! Thanks!

Haha yes. I would get out of breath from a long sentence. Made me feel so pathetic!

Normal. Lots of physiologic reasons for it. Dyspnea of pregnancy.

I was SO short of breath in the early stages of my first pregnancy. I was worried that I would be unbearable by the end, but it didn't progress like I worried that it might.

Yes! On top of the pregnancy I also have a sinus infection and can't breath through my nose. Carrying my two year old up the stairs leaves me out of breath for a solid 5 minutes

Yep! Although it didn't start for me until 30-ish weeks. Even sitting slouched in a chair makes it hard to breath. And I was running late to my last appointment and had to carry my toddler as I ran up three flights of stairs. I was so out of breath when I checked in with the receptionist. It was pathetic!

YES! All the time...I walked from the train platform up to the lobby of my building today and I felt like I had just run a 5k!

@Truth Bombs: @Jess1483: I've been sitting here at my desk at work for the past 2 hours and I'm out of breath sitting here. Wonder what it will feel like when I need to go to the bathroom. Haha.

Yes! It didn't start for me until 25 ish weeks or so but I run out of breath while talking. It's sad.

Yes, especially when I eat. I'm so hungry I don't have time to take breaths in between bites!

@bluestriped bee: Yes! I"m 20 weeks and constantly sound like I have run up a flight of stairs. I was so embarrassed doing orientation for new employees yesterday and sounded horrible.

Yes! It's a full on workout right now to carry the laundry basket up from the basement at 34 weeks! Lol

@Truth Bombs: I just got over that! After almost 2 weeks of having the sinus infection I finally went to the doctor. Got on meds and feel a ton better. And like you had to carry my 2 year old up the stairs a couple times last week. I finally gave in one night and let him sleep downstairs with me. now he asks every night if he can sleep in mommy's bed. ugh!

@bluestriped bee: This is way late, but I meant to add that the leaning forward thing comes in handy later when it's hard to completely empty your bladder. No idea why, but lean forward while peeing too!

@bluestriped bee: I was very out of breath, and bloodwork showed I was anemic. Once I started on iron supplements, it was like night and day. When was the last time they ran bloodwork? It didn't show up in my early bloodwork, but it showed up by my second round, which was after 20 weeks. I was ticked because I kept telling them I couldn't breathe and they just kept saying that it was normal.

@BananaPancakes: yes!! This was one of my biggest signs of iron deficiency, and I had no idea the two were even related! I just assumed it was normal pregnancy stuff!

@Mrs. Oatmeal: I didn't know they were related either, but I knew it wasn't right. I was so out of breath and it started early, like at 8 weeks. I was mostly ticked because I planned on continuing to run and do crossfit through my pregnancy, but I had to stop at 10 weeks because I was so short of breath and couldn't keep my heart rate down. I was told by my ob to stop, and then come to find out I could have continued if they had just taken blood. Of course, by the time we figured it out, it was too late to start back up with anything heavy and I was only given the ok the walk.

@BananaPancakes: oh, really? My OB checked my iron levels when I was in the hospital and I think they are fine. My shortness of breath comes and goes. It doesn't happen every day.

@Torchwood: thanks for the tip to empty my bladder.
