Yay for updates! Penelope is 3 months today and is doing SO MUCH better than her first 2 months! She's 10lbs 1oz so 4lbs up from birth weight. =)

Eating: We're still ebf'ing and I'm now dairy, soy, egg, and nut free! I just omitted nuts this week after adding them as an easy fat and Penelope having blood in her poo again. =( Thankfully it only took a couple days to get out of her system! Otherwise she's eating great and LOVES the boob! lol

Sleep: She's sleeping pretty good at night! Goes down between 8-9 and then sleeps with us when we go to bed.... wakes up to nurse sidelying around 3-5 and wakes up around 6:30-7. We actually just started co-bedding (had to get the bed and such moved around) and we ALL are sleeping SO MUCH BETTER! Tonight was actually the first night for her to go down in the pak n play and surprisingly she did it without a fuss! Here's to hoping that continues!

Milestones: Now that she's not in pain & gassy all the time she's starting to "catch up" on her social "skills"! She's talking tons, and today for the first time she smiled at me while nursing! I SOOOOO can't wait till she laughs! She's also started focusing on and grabbing for toys! Her tummy to back roll over date was 2 weeks, and she's rolled from back to tummy once but I think it was a fluke b/c she hasn't done it since. So far she's doing really great with the "physical" milestones, not just to get her a bit more social! =)

I'm still wahm so I'm her primary caregiver..... and boy does it show! She's a momma's girl! lol Oh and she is SUCH a sunbaby! It's 100 degrees here in South Texas and if she had her way we'd be outside ALL DAY every day! I've actually made her a corner where she can sit in her sleeper and look out the window! lol <3's it!

@regberadaisy: Miss Penelope doesn't sleep during the day either. =/ I MIGHT get 1 nap in but that's it! I'm sure you'll find your groove and do fine with mom gone... still stressful to think about though I'm sure!

@skibobrown: Yay for rolling over!!! DD started rolling pretty early b/c she utterly HATED tummy time. She'd freak out, push up on her legs, and turn over... it was pretty funny! Hope your move goes smoothly!

@runsyellowlites: wow you work at home with baby! jealous! What do you do if you don't mind my asking?

Abbey is 11 weeks old and is a birthday twin with m! She was 10lbs 15oz at her 2 month checkup so is likely well over 11lbs now. She is exclusively formula fed which I am actually sad about lately I miss our bond! Now we just have extra snuggles. She started a new daycare this Monday and I'm miserable back to work and scheming ways to stay home!

LO will be 3 months on friday. She started daycare yesterday and is doing her best to adjust. I breastfeed her in the morning and evenings and she has pumped milk during the day.
She sleeps through the night but wont sleep earlier than 10.30pm at this point.
She has great head control and loves tummy time, she usually sleeps all night on her tummy. She is also a big talker and loves making gurgling sounds and high pitched screams.
Her newest fun thing to do is to poop as soon as I put her in her bathtub. She has done this several days in. a row no matter what time I give her a bath

@Mrsbells: Ha! The pooping in the bathtub is hysterical. My LO hasn't done this yet and I'm thankful because most of her baths are taken with me! (I've probably jinxed myself now).

@regberadaisy: Boo to no naps! I hope daycare is going okay for you. I know that's hard.

@skibobrown: I can't wait for my LO to roll over. She's almost done it a couple of times, but not completely.

@runsyellowlites: Penelope is a cutie. I think I have that outfit, too.

My baby boy is 3 months today and has such a personality. Everyone says he's like a real kid now, and not a little baby. It make me sad.

He weighed 12 lbs at his 2 month checkup, and I'd wager that he's gained a couple pounds since. He still eats practically every 2 hours (4 oz + rice cereal) during the day, but he's not very rolly, so I don't know where he's sticking it. His reflux is finally getting under control with the thickening of his formula and he seems much happier for it.

Since last week, he is exclusively formula fed, as he went on a nursing strike and I just didn't have time at work to pump enough to keep my supply up since he goes with me. It's really difficult to pump every 3 hours when your baby is with you all the time! I was pretty upset, but actually feel good about it this week. I now have time to workout, and started the 30 Day Shred! I feel better about myself already.

We hit a big milestone on Friday when he started rolling from tummy to back. He is so proud of himself and wants to show off his skills to everyone. He also talks nonstop and laughs fairly regularly. He cracks us up.

As for sleep, I guess he's doing ok. He won't go down until 10pm, even thought we've tried everything from 6pm on. He'll go to sleep , but wakes up ready to party 30 minutes later and just hangs out until 10. I'm hoping this will change at some point. He typically sleep from 10pm - 3 or 4 am, and then is up between 7-8am. His napping is all over the place, though. He had been very consistently taking a morning, afternoon and early evening nap, but now is just one super long nap ( 3 hrs) and lots of random 20-30 minute naps. He's having a hard time keeping himself asleep during the day.

@Mrsbells: That is really funny about the poop in the bathtub. Maybe you could potty-train her early like the people who do elimination communication but your cue will be bathtub. My guy has randomly pooped in the bath. As soon as I hear it I try to grab him as fast as I can and rescue him from the poopy water. I recently got smarter when I realized I should pour the poopy bath water into the toilet instead of the bathtub (which I would then have to turn around and clean......duh!).

@regberadaisy: my LO shows no signs of rolling over, even though we do tummy time a lot. The LOs at my Mom group mostly didn't start til 4 months, so don't worry!!

@regberadaisy: @cvbee: Same here. We do tummy time daily and she's not rolling over yet. She can roll to her side, but she could do that since she was 1 week old.

Does anyone else's LO try to sit up a lot? It's so funny, we'll put her on the boppy and she looks like she's doing crunches but she's trying to sit up.

Yeah, I was MIA for a while starting on the 17th. Water broke at lunch at work and then I had no internet at the hospital, where I was til Friday night (they like to keep you in til they are ready for preschool here, which I appreciated). Then I was home for less than 48 hours, which may have been to nuts of a time for me to tell my story, and after 48 hours we had a weigh-in and Nico was not gaining weight so we went back in the hospital with no internet for another few days. (He had lots of jaundice, so we spent a couple days with him in the light-treatment blanket). All good now.

Have you guys settled into nap and sleep routines?

We finally just have, but now DH is on vacation and we're going for marathon family-visiting. I'm hoping we can stay on-schedule with all the visiting. I would hate to have to start all over again with the nap-schedule. Currently he does 2 hours of awake time in between each nap and it works out really well. Sometimes the nap is 45 minutes, and other times it is an hour and a half, but no matter what, the 2 hours-awake seems to be the sweet-spot. Hopefully the extended family will respect naptime. Wish us luck!

@regberadaisy: I hope this changes soon for us, too! He still won't go down until 10pm and I'd do anything for a couple of hours to myself in the evening!
