I feel like it is very rare for moms to teach their child to ride a bike, even in this day and age, and tend to leave it up to the dads, grandpas and the uncles. I'm so proud DD can finally ride a bike and that I taught her. Yay!!! So anyone else here experience the feeling of this awesomeness?? It's so silly but I felt like super mom when she finally started riding. We've been working on it for awhile ....completely stopped...and then she tried again yesterday and it all clicked.

I did! I taught my son when he was 4. He caught on very quickly and it was definitely a proud moment for both of us.
I also taught him swimming basics, so he has enough to play in the pool safely. He’s going to start real lessons this weekend though to work on technique. My DD is now 4 and I started teaching her swimming basics last week. I think she could get to safety if she fell in the pool, but she’s gaining confidence every day. She will also start lessons this weekend.

Awesome!!! :-)I am helping DD with her swimming as well. She got the basics with swim school ( I was so nervous) but I'm helping her with form. Now, if only I can help her with her handwriting. It is so exciting to be my daughter's first teacher in so many things. When they are younger, there are so many milestones but as they get older- they get farther apart. It is also so incredibly amazing to see the determination, courage and grit to keep working at something difficult for her and finally succeed. She was thrilled and so was I!!
