I would say they are even. They are almost in the area of, you are adults, handle it yourself, I guess you could say. My parents on the other hand seem to love DH more than me! they will go on trips and get him something, or will call just to talk to him! I don't mind though because it reinforces how much they like and approve of him But, when it comes down to it, they all favor DS most!

I would say they are more loyal to me... Well they are much nicer to me and it just happened over time but probably more so after we had our daughter.

My mother-in-law almost always takes my side in debate/discussion. I'm not sure how she really feels inside but I think she made a decision early on that she would take my side on things, and I do appreciate it. We still don't agree on everything, but this has come in handy for wedding planning and house-buying.

I don't think my mom is more loyal to my DH, but she completely accepts him as part of the family.
As for DHs family, they are definitely not more loyal to me, but I wouldn't mind it if after baby comes they like me a bit more.

Depends on the situation, however I do feel like my MIL sticks up for me more than my DH. My DH has tendancies to act immature/drink too much when he gets around his cousins at family functions, she always has my back when I tell him to slow down or it's time to go. Things like that, she knows what it's like since my FIL used to be the same way.
