ugh. the hospital appointments are the worst (where i got the NT, complete scans and will get the level 2 scan).... literally, i'm waiting at least an hour and half. SO annoying. 1. don't double book! 2. if you know it's going to be a 2 hour wait, don't sign me up at 10 to be seen at 12! makes me so mad!

what are you knitting? i just started a baby hat for my babies.

2 1/2 hrs? I would be going mad! I had my a/s two weeks ago, along with my monthly ob visit and was done with both in 1 1/2 hrs! Good luck!

I was one of those who took forever. My first A/S at 20 weeks was 3 hours long . Baby girl would NOT cooperate. We finally got the gender after 2.5 hours, but they still couldnt get accurate heart or abdominal measurements, so I had to go back a week later. That one took about 45 minutes.

good luck! we're just beginning TTC and already talking genders. if we had a girl, it would be the first granddaughter on DH's side - he's one of three boys, too, so doubly exciting. I've always wanted a momma's boy, but DH really wants a girl!

this post is getting me all excited for a baby that's not even conceived yet! LOL!

@navy_mommy - omg@boob hat hahahaha. that's so cute. and so is the kitty blanket. wow you did an awesome job with both. i've only ever knitted simple stuff (scarves, small blankets), so i'm being pretty adventurous with the hat.

I was super anxious about my A/s! I actually thought I was having a boy.. so imagine my surprise when I found out we were having a girl!! It took some time to get excited about it, but I'm SO SO SO happy I have a daughter now

Awww!! A bouncing baby boy though - they are so fun and active and nothing beats a little boy's love for his momma!

Aww, I cried when I found out I was having a boy too but after about a month you'll adjust and finally when you meet him, gender won't matter! He'll be the most precious, amazing human you've ever laid eyes on!
Besides, he can be the protective older brother if you ever decide to have a second child (or try for a girl!)
Boys sure do love their moms, girls do too but there's something special between a mother and her son

Congrats on a healthy baby! And give yourself some time to deal with the idea of having a baby boy. Gender disappointment is very real. I think a lot of people don't talk about it, because they feel a little ashamed that they aren't having what they wanted. But it's VERY COMMON. And once you have the baby, you'll never be able to imagine your life without a son!

I am sorry that you aren't happy with the gender, but I am sure that you will adjust with time. My best friend really wanted a girl, and ended up having a boy first, and now that she has a couple kids, she can't imagine not having him first. Once you start shopping and looking around and get used to the idea, I am sure you will be so happy to have your little baby boy.
