DS2 is almost 5 months and a little over 19lbs. My arm and back are killing me carrying the car seat in and out of daycare. 
Ugh. Wondering when others stopped carrying their LO because the weight was too much to handle. (I have a bad back and I'm kind of a wuss anyway, so I'm sure others could carry this big boy around no problem!)

I'll add that I think we switched DS1 over to a convertible at about 10 months and 20lbs.

My kidfos were tiny, but I always found that thing awkward. I think I stopped as soon as they were easy to carry a bit more upright with one arm.

I don't like carrying it now. I leave it in the car about 80% of the time. DD is a little under 18 pounds.

Around 5-6months. He was probably 17/16lbs. If he falls asleep I will bring it to our apartment but it's quite a ways from the parking lot and up a flight of stairs. I've almost pulled out my back making that treck many times

With LO1, around 5 months. She was near 20 pounds.
LO2 is 8 weeks and already 16 pounds, so I would be surprised if he makes it to 5 months in his bucket seat.

DD is 18 pounds and I'm over it. If I wasn't already carrying my toddler I'd have switched her already.

DD is 9 months and since about 5 months we stopped taking the bucket unless there is no place for her to be (like a restaurant), running an errand and don't feel like wearing her (bucket goes in the cart basket), or she just fell asleep. She was about 15 lbs then.

We stopped carrying it around 9 months probably BUT our guy didn't weigh 19lbs until around 11-12 mo!!

We stopped carrying it early. Like 2 months. DS HATED being in his car seat so I always took him out and carried him inside or put him in the ergo.

We stopped at about 7-8 months and he was 19 pounds.
