Mrs. Bee gained a lot of weight for a little bee when she was pregnant with Charlie! With baby #2 though, she's gained much less... I have no idea why.
How about you: how much weight have you gained during your various pregnancies?

I gained around 50 lbs with each of my pregnancies. Both were boys, fwiw.

So far I'm up 6lbs...halfway through so hoping it stays steady!

I gained less than 25lbs and it all came off within 3 weeks of having the baby. It's good because I am significantly overweight to start with, so minimal weight gain was recommended.

I gained a whopping 40, and I'm a small framed gal. I ate healthy and everything (no fast food) so I guess that's just how my body worked. My daughter was just under 8 pounds, so I can't blame it on her. Two weeks postpartum, I had already dropped 25 pounds. Once I get the all-clear to exercise, I bet the rest won't be too hard to lose the rest

I gained 45 with my first, which was way too much. I'm 27 weeks pregnant now and have gained 20, so hopefully I can not gain too much more. I have issues eating healthy when I'm not pregnant, so when I am I have the same issues.

I gained 40 ... and 5 weeks later 30 are gone ... too bad I started a solid 15-20 lbs higher then I would have liked so I have a long way to go to get to my happy weight!

I gained 30 lbs and I had a 9lbs baby. I still have about 5 lbs of baby weight to lose

I'm bummed. I too am overweight and the Dr recommended that I try to gain 10-15lbs total. I was doing so well and had only gained 11 lbs until I was 34 weeks then bam! In the last 3 weeks I've gained like 8lbs. I'm so bloated and puffy.that my Dr said a majority is water weight. Hopefully our little Bug decides to make his appearance soon the bloating can go away.

I stopped weighing myself after 40 lbs... so probably a few more after that. I was banned from eating sugar the last three months so I can only imagine what numbers I would have hit if I'd have been able to indulge...!

Up til the last month I gained 30, then in the last 2 weeks I was eating everything in sight and gained an extra 10. I lost all but 5 lbs in the first month (breastfeeding!) but kept that extra 5 for over a year. It's finally gone, but my body is so different-- all measurements are the same as pre-pregnancy except for my waist, which is a good 4 inches more than before. Seriously. I have some serious loose skin issues.

I gained 35 pounds. It all fell off almost immediately after giving birth, but I had been the heaviest I've ever been when I got pregnant. I was able to lose another 25 while I was breastfeeding with a healthy diet, though! That got me back to my happy healthy weight.

I gained 50 lbs with Claire and it looks like I'm on the same track with BebeDeux (who is also a girl). I honestly did not do much in terms of changing my diet or exercise when I got pregnant, so I really think that my body was just doing what it needed to do. I'm pretty sure I'm correct in this, because my blood pressure, cholesterol, etc were/are all picture-perfect with both pregnancies. And after giving birth, I lost all the weight in 3 months without even trying (keeping my fingers crossed that the same will happen with this pregnancy!).

I gained 65 lbs! I was 167 lbs when I was last weighed a few days before labor. My son of course weighed 9lbs 6.4 oz.

By the end I gained about 40 pounds. If anything I ate less, so when my doctor gave me a hard time about my weight I just shrugged it off as my body knew what it needed to do.

I'm 6 months along with my first and have gained 20-23lbs. My OB told me to scale back a bit, but I swear it's all gone to my boobs! They have a life of their own--TMI..?

I gained 23lbs with my son. I was also diagnosed with GD @ 28weeks with that pregnancy so I had to watch my blood sugar levels. This pregnancy, I was diagnosed with GD much earlier and have been keeping track of my blood sugars 4x a day, so I've been eating healthier. So far @ 28weeks, I've gained 4lbs. I was also 10lbs overweight pre-pregnancy though. My nutritionist wants me to gain a max of 15lbs this pregnancy. So far, it looks like I'm on track.

I only gained about 15 lbs, which is a bit surprising for my small frame (started out at 110 lbs, 5'3"). Like lkristine7, I was diagnosed with GD around 28-29 weeks. At that point I had gained 19 lbs, but with my diet restriction I hovered around 17 lbs - 18 lbs for the rest of my pregnancy. The final week I lost more weight due to morning sickness. My son weighed 5 lbs 13 oz. Since I didn't gain much weight, I was able to lose it all within a few weeks. The scale is back to 110, but my stomach still doesn't look like it. Might take a while to melt off since I am still breastfeeding.

I'm 5'2" and normally 125lbs but during pregnancy, I gained about 35lbs!!! Thankfully, I have gradually been able to lose it all (and then some) thanks to breastfeeding over the last few months.

I gained 38lbs. A little too much for my liking but I guess it wasn't anything to be overly concerned about. My daughter is now 8 weeks old and I have about 12lbs away from pre-preggo weight.

With N I gained 35 pounds. Lost most of it before Baby #2. With B#2, I'm about 22 weeks and have gained 7 pounds. I'm hoping to gain a total of 25 pounds, but we'll see.

I gained about 40 pounds. I've lost all the baby weight 9 months later, but I was about 20 pounds more than I wanted to be when I got pregnant.

I gained 35 pounds with a baby girl who was just shy of 6 pounds. One month postpartum, I had lost 25 pounds. Fingers crossed that the last 10 come off soon!

I gained about 35 lbs and went to 40 weeks and 4 days with my daughter who was 8 lbs 5 oz. All the weight just came off afterwards except for about 4 lbs which I still haven't done anything to lose.

I am almost 23 weeks and have gained about 25 pounds! Its a girl, but Im petite so I think my body is just doing what it needs to for this baby.

I've gained a little under 9 pounds so far, and I'm at 22 weeks. I started off my pregnancy about 10 pounds heavier than I would have liked, so I'm aiming for 15-25 pounds of total weight gain. I think as long as I don't balloon up during the 3rd trimester, I should be able to stay within that range.

Gained just under 30 lbs with my son and lost 20 lbs as soon as he came out (he was 7lbs 4 oz at 39 weeks and a day). But I was already 10-15lbs over what I am normally before I got pregnant. They say not to diet when you are TTC. So I happily ate and got pregnant.

I have gained 28 lbs and I have a month to go! I hope I don't exceed my dr's recommendation of 35lbs but if I do...oh well!
coffee bean / 49 posts
@ emilove I feel the same way. I am 38 weeks and have gained 25 lbs. I hope not to exceed the 30 lbs my doctor suggested but at this point I'm in the oh well phase too!

I gained 40 lbs I was and still am not happy with that... but I was just so hungry all the time! I still have a little over 10 pounds of baby weight to lose. (And then some because unfortunatley I had gained some weight before I got pregnant.)

I just started my third trimester and am still about 10 lbs down from my pre-pregnancy weight. It's good because I was overweight to begin with. I think I've just been lucky because I haven't really tried to not gain weight, though we do eat healthily and I haven't "eaten for 2".

I gained about 30lbs with my first pregnancy, a lot of it being excess water. So far with this second pregnancy, being 36 weeks,I've gained 17lbs.

I gained 26 lbs & my daughter was 7 lbs 10 oz at birth. I really hope that whenever I am pregnant again that I have a similar experience. I did eat well, and worked out some, but I also think quite a bit of it was luck & genetics.

I gained about 25 lbs. At the moment I am about 7 lbs lighter than before I got pregnant but I think part of that is because I lost muscle whilst pregnant and put on fat.

I gained a little over 40 lbs with DS. I am 28 wks and have gained about 22 lbs so far. I'm doing better, just hope I can keep going that way!
