I just need help finding a carrier, ha ha!

I have a Moby but have put my foot down I shan't deal with tying it again this baby Especially in August!

@JoJoGirl: I wasn't a fan of the Moby either! I feel like the Beco Gemini was pretty fool proof, and if I didn't already have one, I would probably look at the Lillebaby too.

I'm thinking about getting a K'Tan and a Lillebaby for when he's older but I'm not married to either. I've just been told by friends that the K'Tan is easier to manage than the Moby. I might go to a babywearing meeting to talk to some experts and see if I can try some on!

I've been looking at strollers/carseats this week, and I'm considering either the Britax system (so the B-Agile and B-Safe I believe) or a City Mini with some carseat that I can clip in...anyone have experiences with these or recommendations?

@MrsSCB: You can clip/snap in Britax car seats to the B-Ready (which also converts to a double). No adapter necessary.

@T.H.O.U.: Yes, one of my friend's did mention the Select if we plan to have more kids (which we do) so definitely something to think about.

@pwnstar: Exactly, that was one of the draws for me. Seems so much easier than buying a stroller from one brand, a carseat from another and then the adapter... I'm probably being lazy, but that just sounds more complicated

@ShootingStar: I pushed them both around at Target, and you're right, they are super similar. The mini may have been a little lighter, but not enough to really make a huge difference. Good suggestion to check the carseat size -- we have a Camry, which is not huge, but I think it's a pretty good size for a sedan? I would like to try the seats out in it, though. I have a tiny car, so we're not even going to try to fit a carseat in it....whoever has the baby will have the Camry.

So far I was gifted a great glider. It hasn't been delivered yet.

I've started to clean out my own closet so I can then start cleaning out the closet in the nursery. Its all storage for us right now. And baby girl's nursery is blue and I want to keep it that way, so I need to find some bedding that will work.

Did you girls pick bedding before over-the-crib art work, or vice versa?

@ShootingStar: I just got a solly baby wrap! first and only baby thing I've bought. I got the warm grey one with tiny white plus signs all over it edges are just serged, which I thought was lame, but the packaging is so incredibly gorgeous that I forgave it. aren't you a designer, too? which color did you buy? also you might try looking for the Halo on craigslist if it doesn't skeeve you out too much--I know THREE people who spend $$$ on them, the baby "slept" in it like two times, hated it, and they had to give it away. Lastly, are you saying the B-agile and city mini aren't amazing for taller people? I was thinking about doing the city mini for lightness and fold-ability, but it would drive me nuts to be constantly stooped over (I'm 5'10" and my husband is 6'2"). if your husband is taller than you, does he mind??

I think for carriers I'm going to try on the Ergo 360 and the Beco Gemini and see which one feels less bulky/annoying. I like that they both have ergonomically-decent facing-out carry options.

@agold: awesome about the blue girl nursery

I pulled paint chips for my boy nursery, all very very pale blush--kind of don't give a fuck about the gender/color thing. it goes beautifully with the wallpaper I have up on one wall that is totally not baby themed and isn't coming down, and then I think I'll decorate it with art like I have in the rest of the house. I love baby-baby nurseries, but I think ours won't be one.

You are all amazing! We have done pretty much nothing yet except move the network equipment and office electronics and printer into a hall closet (had to get the closet wired for electricity and Ethernet) ha! I also bought a keekaroo peanut changing pad since the one we used for our son has seen better days. We still have to empty the room, paint it and buy furniture.

@LCTBQE: I seriously want to be friends with you in real life. You are so hilarious. And I'm so glad you don't care about colors/genders either. I'm getting a lot of flack from family/friends about keeping the nursery blue for baby girl. I suppose I don't give a F* either!

@LCTBQE: I am a software designer . Not exactly fashion or art, lol. But I'm big on color and coordination. I got the blush Swiss dot Solly. I had really liked the gray stripe for a long time, but when I found out we were having a girl, I really wanted to indulge in a girly color. Since we have a boy already so much if our stuff is gender neutral or boyish, so I'm loving that I get some girly things.

As for the b-agile, yeah I wouldn't say it's great for tall people. My husband's 2-3 inches taller than me and he doesn't mind it though. We're built differently though - I have disproportionately long legs, so they're longer than his. So I tend to kick the basket occasionally. And his arms are longer than mine, so he can reach the handle better I think. I think I just like my arms bent more too. On our city select I like to pull the handle way up, and just leaves it down. You just never know with baby gear until you try it.

@ShootingStar: @LCTBQE: I also ordered a Solly wrap (natural and grey stripe). My first was a baby who wasn't happy unless she was being held. I love my Gemini, but like the idea of the Solly for the early days, especially since I can easily carry it in my bag/diaper bag at all times.

@agold: speaking of not giving a F*, I'm not changing a single thing in LO's nursery for the baby. SO THERE! The walls are green and the theme (I use that term very loosely) is beatrix potter so it's completely gender neutral. I may buy a rug, since I was always nervous having hardwood when LO was practicing climbing out of the crib.

@T.H.O.U.: The City Select definitely feels narrower, but I never measured it. My issue with the b-ready was that the wheels stuck out in a way that I couldn't see them (sounds weird I know) so I couldn't get a good mental idea of how wide it was, and I constantly bumped into things. Here's a pic of the City Select - you can see how the frame curves inward so the wheels don't stick out. On the b-ready the frame is straight and it always tripped me up. Maybe that's just me though, lol.
