Just saw this!

Instead of lifting her head up and then flopping it down Ella can control it better now (and not bean me in the chin ). She started smiling and cooing/burbling all in the last week or so. I really need to write up her two month description in the baby book before I start to forget things.

M smiled socially for the first time about a week and a half ago (7 weeks old). Tonight she rolled over from belly to back for the first time (8 1/2 weeks old). Sometimes she hits the toys hanging on her activity mat but I can't tell whether she does it intentionally!

Maybe for each update, we should put how old our LO is so we have a point of reference?

Age: 11 weeks

E finally rolled over! Front to back, twice. DH got it on video, but I was downstairs washing pump parts and missed it ;_;. When he called me upstairs she was 'done' with tummy time and wanted no parts of it any more.

@BabyMats: I couldn't tell you how many times I get 'if' instead of 'of' and "in" instead of "on" when I'm typing on my phone. DH is really good about keeping a camera handy at all times, so I hope he'll catch all the firsts I'll probably miss ;_;. Just bummed because I was actually home, and not at work!

Age: 10w + 4

So far Liv has found her hands and loves to hold them together or put them in her mouth. She "talks" to me a lot now with lots of vowels and "gooos". Especially when BF, she'll look up and start cooing at me. So sweet. I was talking in our PP thread about swatting at toys which she hasn't really done. Yesterday though, she grabbed her rattle out of my hand and put it in her mouth. It was awesome! I think she'll start hitting her play mat toys any day.

J has a little bit of a cold right now - all sniffly and has a bit of a dry cough. But he's grown so much and he's such a happy little baby!

Hmmm...milestones so far...

He has grabbed at toys, he is getting pretty good at holding his head up. He also rolled over (front to back - during tummy time) last week!!! AHHH! Also, it seems to be teething time. Anyone sleep through the night yet?

Time really is going by quickly! Can you believe we were all just finding out about our LOs this time last year!

Hi ladies!
A doesn't roll over yet. She's getting oh so close. About a month and a half ago she rolled over 2 times from belly to back, but nothing since! She's a champ at tummy time though. I mentioned it to the doctor and she wasn't concerned. She said she's doing great and looks like she's going to start transferring toys from one hand to another soon. She wants to sit up on her own, but only lasts a few seconds.

Love reading about your LOs, even if I don't comment too often

@.twist.: DS has these moments where he starts every sound in a high pitch and goes down the "key" slope. Rinse and repeat. It's hilarious!

@greenebee: Oh no on possible cold! Hope he gets over it quickly! Yay for rolling!

@Sapphiresun: @sarbear: DS hasn't rolled over for us either, but will when we're propping him up to sit at a slant on something so I think he's using the momentum from falling to roll over. However, daycare said he rolls over frequently there.... =\

@MrsB2012: That's too awesome she laughed on her daddy's birthday! Best gift ever I'm sure. Baby laughs are the cutest thing isn't it??

@.twist.: laughing is the best! She laughs now if I laugh, which is just too cute. I can't believe you are into solid foods already! What made you decide to start with pear? I am waiting until February to start and am also planning on going straight to "real" food and skip the cereals.

I can't believe that soon we will all be talking about how our babes are sitting up and crawling. It seems like just yesterday we were all chatting away in the original August thread.

Hey ladies!

So much to catch up on!

J is four months and change and can sit up (with a little support), is anyone starting rice cereal or anything yet? My ped said if he can sit up with support we can try a tiny bit mixed with formula/breast milk.

He slept completely through the night a couple of days after Christmas but then hasn't been this past week (he keeps waking up needing his paci, then goes right back to bed). I think he was teasing us with those two nights of sleeping through.

How were everyone's holidays? We've got so many clothes and toys for the little boo, he can pretty much wear a new outfit for each day without repeating --- so spoiled!

Jude giggles now too and it completely MELTS my heart! Sometimes he just laughs at me if I smile at him...Ah well! I guess Mommy is kind of funny looking!

@greenebee: Such a cutie! Yes, we've been doing rice cereal for a week and she loves it! She can't sit yet, but because she lost some weight at her last appt. the Dr. told us we needed to start rice cereal mixed with soy milk (because she doesn't tolerate formula and my supply took a dive), and root vegetables. We haven't tried those yet, giving her 2 weeks on cereal first.

She's such a happy baby now, finally! She smiles and laughs, and at last lets other people hold her She loves tummy time, if you put her on her back she rolls over to her tummy, and then gets up on her knees and hands. She'll rock back and forth then get super frustrated that she can't go anywhere, I'm not ready for her to crawl at all.

I'm weighing her weekly so that I don't freak about no gains. Last week she had gained 2oz of her 2lb lost back and that was before rice cereal, I'll weigh her again tonight when we get home.

@.twist.: C can roll belly to tummy and vice versa, but doesn't do it often unless he's sleeping then he rolls back to tummy. Does L do it often or has motivators to make him roll?

@greenebee: We started Oatmeal cereal at the suggestion of our pedi. It's super watery so it can get a bit messy, but DS seems to like it. I'm going to try and do BLW when C is 6 months or so. If it doesn't work out, we'll give purees a try and see how that fairs.

@StbHisMrs: Shows signs of "rocking" or attempts to get up onto his knees while on his belly also! It's going to be so crazy when our LO's start to crawl....
