I received a Johnson & Johnson bath set at my shower. I still haven't opened the baby powder or oil.
I want to use the oil but I'm afraid it will stain her clothes.
Do you use baby powder or oil on your baby?

I've never used the oil. I remember using the oil when I was little (5-6 years old) though! Couldn't tell you if it stained my clothes.. I'm guessing it didn't though.

Hmm...good question. I'd be careful with it. Maybe test it on a rag or something you don't need anymore to see?

We only used the baby oil for cradle cap so it wasn't near my son's clothes.

I haven't used either. I've heard baby oil is good for cradle cap, but we used a special shampoo instead.
I also was gifted those things and used them as the structure for diaper cakes.

I haven't used either, so don't know of the oil stains close. Maybe you can do a test on an old onesie or something?

A friend of mine says she uses baby oil and baby soap (i think?) with water to make her homemade cloth wipe solution.

We haven't used the powder, but we use baby oil on her skin b/c it's pretty dry. Mostly I just use the oil on her feet and hands, but sometimes on her body too. I haven't noticed any staining. I think we let it soak in pretty well before we re-dress her.

The nurses at the hospital told us not to use powder because it is not good if the baby inhales it. But I used baby oil on my LO's scalp every day for over a year since it used to be very dry. I never seemed to stain anything.

LO has eczema and in the winter it gets REALLY bad so we put about 10 drops of baby oil in her bath water (as per doctor's recommendation). When she comes out of the bath, her skin has oil on it and we rub it in before putting her pjs on. No stains as far as I could tell. We also use the baby powder every now and then.
