I think my LO would enjoy making things with beads, but I'm debating what ones would be best. There are so many options! Does anyone have beads for their LO?
Here are a few I've found...one set just snaps together, but not sure how well they stay, may be easier than stringing them together though...

DD got the B Pop Party Beads for Christmas - she was almost 5 - she loved them! A few were duds and wouldn't stick or fell off easy but for the most part they stayed hooked - even my 7r old DS liked them!

I find that wooden beads often aren't smooth in the opening and dont thread well.
Also, you can get large plastic "needles" for kids to help them with threading.
Another thing to consider is what material you want them to use for necklaces. Most real bead sets (like the second one posted) typically use like a monophylament line (like fishing line) that is to withstand a high test weight. Meaning if you pull on it it wont snap but it could also choke or cut a child.

We have a big set of the pop-arty beads and lo loves them. She's 3 and can easily make stuff but once the beads are popped together they stay until you want to undo them (like she can wear her creations out of the house). The set we have has the pieces to make cuff type bracelets and rings and charms for bracelets and necklaces. Tons of tiny pieces obviously but super cute and well made imo. I also like that the more she plays with them she gets more ideas for more complicated designs, like with connectors and charms.
