I was gung ho about starting baby led weaning, and I read the book and cookbook. Then I met up with friends from my birth group (my LO is the youngest by about a month). They talked about how afraid they were of choking and I realized that the BLW book really glosses over it! Now I'm pretty terrified myself

Does anyone have advice for how to get over my fears and/or what foods to start with to minimize the risk?

LO is 5.5 months and we were planning to start in a few weeks. She can sit up for a few seconds on her own and has great head and neck control. She is pretty interested in our food and is "chewing" on anything she can get into her mouth (though she doesn't have teeth yet!).
