Hi bees, I am looking for a car seat/stroller set-up for my first baby, and I have a few special circumstances and would LOVE your opinion. We are in a walk-up brownstone in NYC, we're both quite tall, and we have a compact car ('08 Honda Civic). I'm old and have been saving up for this baby since forever, so I'm willing to buy high-end if necessary, but of course would love to save money where I can.

For a car seat, I need something that will have as small a footprint as possible so as to not render the passenger seat of the car useless, and I need something that we can pop easily in and out of taxicabs. I read on Lucie's List and a few other places that the Cybex Aton 2 is the jam for this (although it's $$$).

For a stroller, I've heard that the UB Vista is great for tall people and is a nice piece of equipment, but I don't know how easy it is for walk-ups regarding weight and folding. I read the UB Cruz is nice, too, but not sure if it's *as* good for tall people. I've also heard the City Mini GT is cheap and phenomenal for walk-ups (super light and folds easily) but not sure if we'll constantly be kicking it because we're 5'10" and 6'2" and fast walkers I don't really care about basket size or any of the other features.

To further complicate things, I've heard if we get an UB stroller, that getting the UB Mesa car seat is the way to go, but not sure how much bigger that really is vs the Cybex car seat.

If you have tried any of these pieces of equipment, I'd love to know how you paired them together and what you thought of everything--or if you just have a small car, tell me what car seat you got

Thank you in advance!
