Anyone else have a hard time coming up with gift ideas for their 2nd LO? My DD turns 1 a few days before Christmas and everyone is asking what she wants for her birthday & Christmas. Problem is we already have a lot of toys from DS & clothes from friends for her.
What other ideas are there?

What about passes for things you can do as a family? Experiences are always good and don't add to the clutter of toys.

Yes! It's been so difficult. I can come up with a million things for LO2 (2 years old) but it's so hard to think of anything for our 7 month old. I don't want to get a bunch more "baby" toys because we have plenty and those won't last as long, use wise. LO1 is "into" a lot so that's easier too. My parents are getting the girls the princess little people castle as a joint gift, and then LO2 is getting the A to Z little people zoo from them as well. So far we got B toys wheelies cars, a B toys medical kit, some books...so really things they can both play with but we will divide and put their names on them to open.

My LO is turning 1 right before Christmas, and we are in the same boat. Thanks to his Aunt, he has all the toys he needs (she gave us all her baby stuff!) and no need for clothes. My ideas so far:
- Bath toys / bath books
- Winter hats/mittens
- Puffs (he gets really excited when he sees the can)
- Bubbles

DS #2 turns one two days after Christmas and we are asking for money towards a swing set. He doesn't need/care/know about presents yet, so we are putting money towards something all our kids will like and use in the years to come (he's our third so we REALLY don't need more toys!)

olive seriously gets nothing. i didn't even get her anything for her third birthday! she is happy to play with charlie's toys.
if i had a wishlist, it would definitely be memberships to museums, zoos and we can never ever have enough arts and crafts supplies.

@ALV91711: Good idea, I know my MIL is giving swim passes to the kids. I'll have to brainstorm some other ideas
@Bao: yes it is hard! My mom mentioned a little people toy house so maybe that's what she will do. DD could probably use some cars of her own too
@Tanjowen: those are all great ideas! Thanks! @MamaBehr: yes we really don't need a ton of toys either. Money towards something is a good idea. I'll have to come up with something to put it towards.
@Mrs. Bee: I forgot about arts & crafts supplies! I am trying to think of some membership ideas but we don't have a lot around us unfortunately. I'll have to do some online research.

@MamaBehr: I think we are going to say money towards some sort of outdoor playhouse. 
We are fencing in our yard in the spring so it would be fun to have something like this!
@Mamaof2: both of the grandma's want to get her baby dolls! I guess I can embrace this and say a doll stroller or accessories like bottles too!
