I'm a big fan of Cole Haan wedges but the style I used to buy is no longer available. I need a comfortable black shoe to wear with my suits at my convention next week. I've tried 4 different pairs so far from Zappos with no luck. Any suggestions?
My suits are tailored to a 1.5" heel.

What was the style you were wearing? I have a pair of size 8.5 or 9 (I'll have to check) peep toe black Cole Haan wedges I was just about to list on Poshmark as I can't wear peep toe at work anymore.

@RonjaL7: I'm a 10 but I was in the style they had matched with Nike for. I can't remember the name but it was peep toe.

I've started buying slimmer fitting suit pants and wearing flats ever since I was pregnant. I love the Cole Haan too back when they had the nike insoles. But now the wider leg suit pants just suck on my body. Good luck finding a shoe!

Aerosoles or Lifestride are comfort brands you might have luck with.

@gingerbebe: @SLR: I'm going to try a pair of Anne Klein. Thanks! @agold: I found the suits I bought this winter have a slimmer leg that don't need to be hemmed. I may be able to get away with flats in them, I'm really psyched about that. I hate heels.

I can't recommend a specific style because I usually wear a higher heel with suits, but I have heels from Franco Sarto, Sofft, and Naturalizer that are all super comfortable. Like, ride the subway to work, walk the streets to court comfortable.
