Ooh the kaydee crocs (i think...they are ballet flat crocs) are reallly comfy. Not the cutest but i walked around disney world in them and they were great.
For more fashionable ones, i like cole haan. They have nike air cushioning in them.

I have Naturalizers that are AWESOME. I need the arch support. I was between sizes in Clarks, so they didn't work well for me.
I have these: http://www.naturalizer.com/en-US/Product/EC0205056-3011562/Naturalizer/Black+Leather/Clarissa.aspx
They're kind of ugly, but since i wear pants to work, you only really see a few inches on the front toe cap

@blackbird: yea I wear pants and dresses, so I can't always hide the shoes

I like crocs, but don't like how my feet smell after wearing them.
My favs are Dr. Scholl's. I have these and they're more comfy than some sneakers.
ETA: I've always bought mine at famous footwear for much better prices!

@Mrs. J: Boooo. I have some really nice leather Born flats, but the lack of arch support will get to me all day

I actually wore wedges during my pregnancy when I had to stand a lot. It was a lot more comfortable for flats. I wore them all three days of our academic conference. They weren't very tall, maybe 2 inches, but the arch support was phenomenal.

@Mrs. J: I can't remember the brand of mine, but here I am at 39 weeks. I can look when I get home.

If you need a lot of arch support like me, Orthoheel is really good. I really like my Clarks and my Born flats, but have to add inserts for arch support. I also find that a really low and wide heel or wedge is the best thing - I have a pair of Clark heels that are way more comfortable than any flats I own.

Tieks, Cole Haans, and AGLs have been the best by far for comfort. But on a more economic level, Dr. Scholl's ballet flats are really comfortable too!

Never buy Tory Burch if you're looking for comfort! They suck and the quality actually sucks too! I'll never buy anything TB again, don't care how pretty it is!
I've heard amazing things about Tieks and wish I had bought those instead!

@PrincessBaby: I remember you complaining about those TBs you got! I made a mental note to never get them!

Don't know how casual you can go, but I love superga slip ons and they have them in black. Still canvas, so they are more casual, but they really don't look bad with black pants.
I have every color and still wear them constantly.

@avivoca: I also found wedges to be more comfortable than flats if you can believe that. I did splurge on a pair of cole haans basic flat and they were pretty comfortable.

Tieks! They are pricey but so amazingly comfortable. I wore them all the time when I was pregnant and teaching.

@Mrs. J: My wedges were Jessica Simpson and I loved them! They were great in my last pregnancy. As far as flats, I've actually loved my Target (Mossimo) flats the most.
