@MamaG: Sitting?!? That's awesome! The little bit of time where they can sit up but not go anywhere yet is one of my favorite phases. I feel like all of my best pictures of M are from that phase

J took great naps for DH yesterday while I was at work. Fingers crossed for today! (and for good naps for you all!)

@MrsF: we are still covered in spit up here too!! I feel like I'm just constantly doing laundry! Ugh.

@MrsF: he's only had one poo that was suspect -bright green last night! No poos today and he is perfectly happy

I almost don't want to write it here but the past few nights have been good just one waking. Still swaddled and in rock n play. Oops!
Naps have been really bad though

@MrsF: She has so many toys that are part fabric part plastic so I'm I'm like ?!?!
@MamaG: I guess she's not sleeping great b/c she's working on such a major milestone! K can tripod for a while but if she sits up I gotta be right there to catch her after 5 sec lol! She is ALWAYS straining to sit up though, like she's doing crunches for abs haha!
@winniebee: I totally am not fixing what's not broken either, even though I keep saying she's gonna go in the crib, and that we're gonna sleep train...

@mamag: e is pretty close to sitting too! she can go for quite awhile if i put the boppy around her so that i don't have to worry about her falling forward on her face (or backwards and smacking her head). i think k could sit on her own if we sat her up around 5.5 months, but then didn't push herself up to sitting until 7 months? or at least that was the first time i saw her do it; she definitely could've been doing it at daycare earlier than that!
@winniebee: do whatever works as long as it works! e finally had a solid 9 hour stretch last night. it was glorious.

@winniebee: that's so great that he seemed ok after the dairy! I've worked my way up to pretty much eating my normal diet the last few weeks or so and J seems fine with it too! Maybe their little tummies Just needed to mature.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@snowjewelz: yeah. I put those in the washing machine if they really need it.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: oh wow so happy for you! I also had a lobster roll that had a little butter on the bun. His poop today was dark green again. He seems perfectly happy but I probably will back off for a bit again. I'm finally dropping weight at least.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: it's definitely freeing, though I'm try to stay away from my recipes with tons of cheese, etc because we've been doing fine without them and I don't want to gain back all the weight.
J's poop never really normalized even with the MSPI diet and changes day to day , but he seems no more fussy than usual so I'm trying to ignore the poops and not make myself totally nuts.

Well, I'm way behind again... was sick yesterday (again!) with the stomach flu, so not fair twice this year already!
@MamaG: Sounds like what E went through this weekend, Friday he ate very little and was spitting up a ton, same Saturday, and better Sunday but was happy the whole time so I didn't worry too much, and daycare had said there was a bug going around so he must've had it - which is apparently why I got the one wake-up at night cuz that is back out the window!
Apparently I then got the bug from Ethan, and was miserable yesterday. He was great for me all day but last night after going to bed at 8 (all of us) he was back up from 10 until 12:30!! And would only sleep on me till 5. No fun.
Sleep Gods please visit my son!
We are also working on sitting, he's pretty wobbly yet but fun to watch.

We are definitely teething. She's getting more comfort from chewing on the hard part of her pacifier than sucking on the soft part. Lots of spit up today, too.

@josina: Yike! Hope everyone feels better! At least you were smart and all went to bed at the same time!

@josina: Sorry to hear about the illness plaguing your family!! Hope everyone feels better soon.

DH and I had our first "parent" fight I'll call it
You know the comparing what each other does all day!!!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Aww, I'm sorry! Those fights are hard, I've been there. Hope you guys are able to work through it okay.
pear / 1961 posts
@faithfertility: welcome to the club! Happens to everyone and, unfortunately, there's no winner hope you at least both feel heard by each other. Sometimes that part helps?
630-630 with only one wake up at 3. I would feel amazing except DH got work calls at 430 and 5 (he wasn't even technically on call....the worst!!). If it's not one thing, it's another.

@Adira: ohh yeah we are good, just made me so mad I swore I would never say those things but he came home so tired and grumpy....I just kinda went off......all is forgiven!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Oh good! Hubs and I got into a fight yesterday too. He was feeding Xander dinner and Xander wanted his waffle cold, but Hubs insisted on toasting it and Xander was throwing a tantrum. I didn't understand why Hubs was being so stubborn about it, so I got the waffle out of the toaster and gave it to Xander, and Hubs got mad at me for interfering and stormed off. I get why he was mad because I don't want people interfering with my parenting either, but I also don't know why he was making such a big deal about nothing - if Xander wants a cold waffle, let him eat it cold!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@Adira: I'm with you! Cold waffle never hurt anyone!!!
He was soo cranky going on and on about how tired he is and his neck hurting head ache blah blah then after his 20min rant he took a shower which he always does first after work he says he feels dirty in squad car/jail all night
Then comes out looks at clock and says it's 8:30 I need to lay down??
I kinda went off I'm sorry you ranted for 20mins about how tired you are, but I need a shower too and 10mins ......so I kinda went off!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Ugh, that's frustrating. My husband has done that kind of stuff to me before. He'll stay up late or something and then complain about being tired the next day and I'm like "No one forced you to stay up so late!" and we'll fight because he wants to nap and I'm like "When do I get to nap??"
pineapple / 12793 posts
@FaithFertility: @Adira: I don't often chime in around here but yeah... the I'm tired bit gets real old. DH told me the other day after sleeping ten hours on Nyquil... "you have no idea how tired I was". Wanna bet buddy?!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@oliviaoblivia: @FaithFertility: I mean, maybe us women are just built to handle sleep deprivation better??? My husband is constantly taking naps on the weekend, especially if he's sick, but I always just suck it up and deal even though I got less sleep the night before. So frustrating!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@MrsF: @winniebee: @MamaG: @snowjewelz: @Adira: @FaithFertility: Thanks all... Step daughter is home sick today... Hopefully DH doesn't get it too.
@FaithFertility: Oh no to the fight. Glad all is forgiven. These dudes don't know what it's like being us for sure. My DH thinks I have so much ' free' time since I'm home at 5:30 vs his 7 or 8 but there is still so much to do at home when id rather just play with baby!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@oliviaoblivia: I would lol to that! DH complains about ds's wakeups but he doesn't have to get up with him! Esp. After the 10:30 - 12:30 wakeup the other night when I was sick all day!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Oh we already had a few of those! But we forgive and move on quickly... Bc we pretty much we don't mean it, and we lash out only when we're super tired/stressed out. I secretly do still think that I do way more hahaha! But I try to hold my tongue & at times I def have to force myself to think of the good things he does instead of the bad haha! **HUG**
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
For example DH this morning was like oh she slept great! Only woke up at 5 ish! I was like uh... No... You were snoring when she woke up at 2 something...
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Hubs has said that to me before too and snored through a MOTN wake-up! And then he's all "Wow! I slept right through it!" Must be nice... jerk!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@josina: ugh I'm so sorry everyone is sick!
@MamaG: Pretty sure h is teething too; he has been fussier than normal, esp during feeding, and the only thing that will help is me putting pressure on his gums with my finger, and putting his frozen teether on it. Poor boy. He is also holding his toys hard against those bottom gums. I feel so bad!
In good news, he rolled back to tummy!! But I missed it!! haha. I put him on his back on the floor after our morning walk and went to use the bathroom. (My dog was right next to him, and h loves watching him, so I think he was trying to see him better.) When I came back in, he was on his tummy just staring around! He's been getting so close these last few days, so I'm so proud he figured it out. Although bummed I missed it He also is realllllly trying to army crawl when he's on his belly, which makes me scared. Ha.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: I know! Just once, I want to pretend to be sleeping and see what he does haha!
@theotherstark: it is exciting but so scary! Now its like she's never how I left her in the crib or on the playmat and I'm like, how did you get yourself here?!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: I've actually done that before, but Hubs has a higher tolerance to baby cries than I do, so I always give in!
@theotherstark: Yay for rolling!!! I'm still waiting for Logan to do it.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: yeah plus he will never believe that I don't hear her!
