@snowjewelz: lol. It is pretty adorable.
Ethan isn't crawling yet but he pushes himself backwards all over the place. Last night I put his favorite toy block in front of him, and he actually spun around and scooted back so he could get it. Smart baby.

@josina: it's gonna happen anytime! I wasn't even expecting it!

It's going so fast! Darcy will be 8 months next week. Her sleep has turned to crap. She wakes up at 3 to eat and then awake for day at 6 am. She officially crawls, pulls up, cruises and points. She also has some mad dance skills.

@KayKay: Sounds like E's doing great!
@MamaG: Too bad about one nap Her meals make her sound like such a big kid though!
@winniebee: The car is such a danger zone for us! It's always right before nap time but I have to get M out of the house so I'm trying desperately to keep J awake (and, you know, drive safely). Ugh. I had to let J fuss for a few minutes after he woke up from his first sleep cycle for him to learn to extend his naps. Not for very long though and it's made a big difference!

@MrsF: She IS a big kid! We make big babies and they act their size rather than their age. K is definitely trying really hard to catch up to the other kids in her class. She is the youngest and she just comes up with something new everyday to keep up.
Unfortunately, I think we've just about outgrown our jumperoo. C loved that thing and we used it for a long time. K would rather be on the floor. I think it's also a daycare thing. C was kept in the jumper a lot at daycare, K is not. Which also probably attributes to why K is ahead on some of the physical things from where C was.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@MamaG: Bummer. The jumperoo is great for keeping them entertained but contained. It does take up a freaking lot of space though...
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@BandDmommy: Haha too cute! Is her sleep off b/c you have been traveling? And I don't blame her, since she's working on so many new skills!
@MrsF: I always say I don't see her doing something and then one day boom, she just starts!
@MamaG: K is not totally loving the jumperoo as much either. I just got her a walker, but since she can't actually stand/walk yet, I might look into a walker.. yet ANOTHER thing!

I finally listed the RnP and my extra new diaper bag on the FB BST and Craigslist. I need to list the swing too since it's just taking up space in my house.
I also have all kinds of clothes to get rid of and I feel like a garage sale is a PITA but photographing all of the items is also PITA.
pear / 1961 posts
@mamag: i just donate clothes unless it is something super special occasion (e.g., fancier dresses). we did a garage sale with some friends last year before we moved, and it was barely worth the time we spent doing it!
@banddmommy: we may need an IG video of the dancing!
@snowjewelz: crawling! go K! we're still backwards scooting and rolling, like @josina: mentioned. she also is a plank-master and puts my weak abs to shame

@MrsF: I wish he would fuss just a few mins and go back to sleep. But I've let him cry as much as 40 mins and he didn't fall back asleep. And then was hyperventilating in my arms and while nursing after. Not worth it for me
I've given up on nap training and all other sleep training. We leave for vacation tonight so....oh well. It's strange though we went from one wake up at a random time to two wake ups at 1230 and 4 very consistently the last week.
I forgot to mention that Ryan's spit up is finally improved. He is definitely drinking less. Given how he eats solids I think he's just very food focused and didn't control how much he was drinking and was way over nursing, which was part of the problem. He still spits up but it's not colossal like it used to be. For now.

@BandDmommy: I want to see the dancing! And your nights of bad are like my dream nights.....

@MamaG: bummer! I think T liked his until 9/10 months? It was the only way to contain him while I was getting ready for work. Ryan likes it fine still but we call it the poop chair....for obvious reasons
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@winniebee: Glad his spit up has improved and hopefully sleep gets better! I haven't done any addt'l sleep training either to try and get rid of his MOTN wake-ups, but other than Wed. night we've had a couple nights with only 1 wake-up so hopefully that continues on its own.
Have fun on vacation! Where to?
Back to the dr. for us today... I'm really not sure if its an ear infection or not since he is fine at home, but only had 1 bottle again at daycare. If anything it will put my mind at ease. Maybe its teething, or maybe he just prefers solids more, or is too distracted, i dk. He's happy as can be, AND I got a 7-1/2 hr stretch last night. Longest yet.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MrsF: Logan is no where near crawling either. He can sit up now, but his rolling skills are definitely still lacking, so crawling won't be in our future for a while!
@winniebee: Glad to hear the spit up issue has improved. Hope your vacation goes well!
@josina: Hope your LO is okay.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: So glad that his spit up has improved! J is definitely better (though hasn't cut down on nursing so it must just be a developmental thing). Now he only spits up when I'm holding him on my hip. I guess it's just the position that makes him do it but I always carry him like that (how else do you get anything done?) so it's still frequent.
@josina: So glad you got some sleep last night! I hope he has a good checkup!
@Adira: J and L are definitely in the same boat for milestones! TBH I'm in no rush for him to crawl.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MrsF: Crawling is cute and fun, but I'm with you. Take your time, babies!!
honeydew / 7444 posts
@winniebee: omg, A did the same. 1 wake up to 2 wake ups in the morning. Vacation was a terror...up every 1-2 hours. I still ergo him for all his naps! I'm glad his reflux is under control...hope it continues to get better.

K's weight check is in two weeks and last night dh asked me not to freak out if the dr suggested supplementing with formula, so basically I've been freaking out all day. He doesn't want me to argue with him/the doctor if she thinks it's what's best for her... But I'm really just hoping she manages to gain enough to where it's not an issue because it'd really just rather keep ebf-ing.

@Freckles: I'm so sorry. You must be exhausted
@Miss Ariel: It's so hard to have to worry about weight gain. You're doing everything you can mama!

@MrsF: it was last week when we were in Rhode Island/boston. That trip confirmed I no longer want to travel with my kids for 1 year! A has proven to be a horrible sleeper on trips- not worth it!
@Miss Ariel: I wouldn't freak out or feel bad, but I understand why you feel that way. Good luck!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Miss Ariel: That's stressful. I hope her weight checks out okay.

@Freckles: Ugh. Travel with young kids can be so tough - disrupted sleep makes everything harder!

Welp, ear infection #4, just in one ear this time. At least he's not too bothered by it other than the bottles, and don't have to worry about those till Monday. Hoping this is the last one for awhile! I think this was Dr appt. #5 in a month 1/2! Blah.

We just woke up at 5:45 to find that our video monitor had crapped out overnight It's *possible* that J didn't wake up until now, but it's not very likely. I hate the idea of him in here crying for me and not knowing it. It was also m's first night in her big girl bed so i don't feel very good about that either. And now DH ia frustrated with me because I was acting all panicky about it when he woke me up to tell me. He's not one to get upset when it doesn't help solve the problem but I can't help but feel emotional when I first wake up to this issue!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@MrsF: bummer! Is your room close enough to hear them if they are really upset? I'm sorry. I would have been grumpy and irritated too.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MrsF: awwww I am sure if they really needed you, you would have heard them! Ughhhh mommy guilt!!!!
@josina: Poor E, I am glad he has mommy this weekend to help him feel better
@Miss Ariel: Praying all goes well at weight check in!!!
@Freckles: sorry about the trip! We have yet to travel with G and I secretly fear it....
@winniebee: Have a wonderful vacation and I am glad to hear his spit up is improving!!!
I know sleep is wonky, maybe he will surprise you on vaca!

Well G meet with her sitter yesterday, and she went right to her! Was into the kids yelling at them and so excited!
I know she will love it!
Also she is really all of the sudden into the sippy, which I am so thankful! She still isn't taking as much as she needs, but took 4oz with dinner Thursday and about 2 holding it by herself yesterday!!! I am thrilled!
I can NOT believe she starts soon, where has this time gone?
She starts July 27th with 1/2 days and Aug 3rd full time.....eeeekkkkk!!!!
pear / 1961 posts
@mrsf: that's the worst feeling to wake up to! one time i forgot to switch it to scan...and another time i forgot to turn it on at all (whoops!)....you definitely wake up feeling super panicky!
@josina: ugh -- hope he gets better soon!
@faithfertility: taking 4oz from a sippy is great! E figured out her Zoli, but doesn't drink too much from it at a time yet. She has become a master at sucking down food pouches though better reward, i guess!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@MamaG: The rooms aren't far away but we're big white noise fans. Obviously everybody's fine but it still makes me feel guilty, of course.
@FaithFertility: That's so great that you had a good visit with her sitter and even more exciting that G is doing so well with the sippy! She must have known that you needed some reassurance I'm sure you'll feel SO much better when she's all settled and you're in your new routine.

@MrsF: Yes, I am a basket full of nerves these days, but G is such an easy baby and so happy all the time, I know she will be ok! It will be new and I am.for sure going to cry/miss my buddy!

Last night sucked sleep wise for M. He seemed to wake every 30 min to hour and shushing him didn't always work, so we had to pick him up to soothe him. Then after about 3:30am, it's like he forgot how to flip on his belly and would fuss because he was on his back lol.
@FaithFertility: Glad she's doing well with the sippy!

@AngelicOne: awww stinky it is hard when they do so good and have those crazy off nightsi

I'm sure you guys saw my IG, but if not, Logan is apparently allergic to peanuts. We're at the ER now.
