@AngelicOne: That is an amazing stash! Unreal.
@MamaG: We need to get the 12 month clothes out too. big kids!
@Adira: Ugh I hope tonight is better!
@josina: Same here! I'm going to gain a million pounds when I wean
@whenoceansrise: Tooth! So cute!

@whenoceansrise: Tooth! So cute!
@FaithFertility: That's amazing!!! You must have been SO happy
@winniebee: Poor buddy! You must be glad to have an explanation at least. I hope he's on the mend!
@BandDmommy: That's great! I always feel like such a superhero when I take both kids somewhere new

Does anyone feel like their babies are nursing less? The past week I felt engorged often like he was taking less. Yesterday at work I was short 6 oz from pumping and today I was short 8 oz! I'm hoping that he's just been taking less while nursing and my supply has adjusted accordingly? I've always had a tiny bit of an oversupply so this is strange for me.
I haven't had a period PP so I'm not sure if that's related and I have a mirena as well.

@MrsF: It seems like M had been eating a little less (bottle wise) since he started going about 6-7 hrs overnight without eating as I had been freezing a few more ozs daily. I dropped to 3ppd 2 weeks ago, so now it's not quite as much being frozen.
@winniebee: Glad you know what's going on now at least.
@BandDmommy: Yay for a fun swimming day on your own!

@MrsF: yeah, tho she has never been a huge drinker to begin with.. She mostly drinks 4 oz, sometimes 5 and for formula she barely finishes 6.

@winniebee: Hope your night will be better now that you found the cause!
@BandDmommy: good job! Some days I'm still eh on going out alone with K lol

@winniebee: we've tried a sippy cup, same as bottles anymore, he just chews on them.
He was so fun tonight I'd be amazed if something was actually wrong! This kid likes to keep me on my toes.
@MrsF: During the day E seems to 'snack' more than anything. I've been getting an ounce less this week.

@BandDmommy: fun, nice job!
@winniebee: man.....hope he is feeling better
@josina: Glad he is happy
@MrsF: Yeah she nurses less over the past month or more...I think

I wish there was a way to see how many oz they eat BF....
I mean I could ask for a weighted feed...I'm just curious
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MrsF: I suspect that Logan is nursing less because I'm producing less too, but not by much. I think I'm down 3-4 oz, but I'm still making enough to meet his needs for the day. Now's the time that they start drinking less and eating more solids though I think.
@FaithFertility: You could go do a weighted feed if you are curious! I did one around 6 months with Xander because I was curious (and I was getting a ton of grief from people about how I wasn't giving him enough in his bottles).

No teeth yet, but Logan slept through the night last night! I woke up feeling so refreshed!!

@adira: hurrah!
@mrsf: yes definitely nursing less. Particularly the noonish feed and sometimes the late afternoon (3ish) if I try too early. I may just start giving bm in a cup with lunch and not nurse that one anymore!
Unpacking is still crazy. Plus in-laws here for the week. I'm reading to keep up but not posting as much

I feel like D is nursing less as well. She's just more interested in solids or crawling than nursing.

@KayKay: Hope you're having fun! Put the in laws to work...lol

How long is everyone planning on BF? I've surpassed my goal of 6 months. I plan to start weaning around 1. I miss having my body to myself.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: Nice!! Sigh, I don't even know what feeling refreshed would be like, lol!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@KayKay: Agree with everyone... Put them to work, whether it's unpacking or babysitting!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@BandDmommy: I think after she turns 1 I'm def gonna stop pumping (given that I am still able to pump till then!), but I'll still nurse if there's milk left in me (morning/night). Not so much having my body back, but I need to not wearing the same clothes over and over and over and over that are pumping/nursing friendly!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@BandDmommy: I'm planning on day weaning/pump weaning at 1, but then I'll probably continue nursing morning/night for longer. I'd like to be fully weaned by July 2016 though, because I'm in a wedding then and won't be able to nurse for a few days.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: Haha so specific! But that make sense! I feel like if I still have milk, I wouldn't know when to stop!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Yeah, with Xander, I was willing to go as long as he wanted, but he self-weaned at 14.5 months. I'm hoping Logan will self-wean too and that I don't have to wean him myself... I think I'd be sad to have to force him to stop if he's not ready...

@KayKay: good luck unpacking. what a crazy time!
Ryan's definitely nursing less - I feel like a 5 minute session is long nowadays lol. He still gets one 5 oz bottle a day but given the amount of solids he eats, I feel like he's probably only drinking 20 or so oz a day. Who knows, though. He still nurses 7x a day but they are really quick sessions and he pushes off of me and wants to jump off my lap.
My initial goal was 6m but now that I can eat dairy I feel like I'll nurse as long as it's convenient and we are both happy. R will be 8 months in a few days and so the new goal is 9 months. But I plan to wean at age 1 regardless. Not interested in nursing a toddler!

@BandDmommy: I'd like to be done pumping before a year (10 months?) and probably done breast feeding around a year, but I guess that depends on E and whether or not he's STTN yet. Its too convenient to nurse him back to sleep.
honeydew / 7283 posts
Glad I'm not the only one whose LO is nursing less! J is a professional snacker these days. Most nursing sessions are like 10 minutes max except if he's really sleepy.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@BandDmommy: I'm thinking I'll stop pumping at 1 but probably let him nurse morning and bedtime until it's not working for one of us anymore.
I don't see him at all on the 2 days / week that I work so I'm not really sure how it will work nursing AM and PM if I'm not pumping or nursing on the days that I'm working. Maybe I'll still pump on my commute? Or maybe just see how uncomfortable I am? I know it's a long way off... maybe I'll be totally sick of it by then... or maybe he will!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MrsF: I'm on day 2 of not nursing G for about 8 hrs in between and they get full but don't hurt, so I think we will be ok!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: Glad things are going well! I would be theoretically going 24 hours (twice a week) without nursing, so it's hard to imagine that would work, but that's a long way off. We'll see!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Ryan seems a little better. Still fussy and not eating or nursing well. If he doesn't turn the corner by tomorrow I will take him in.
pomegranate / 3973 posts
I've got an appt. scheduled for Ethan tomorrow to follow up with his ears/make sure nothing is actually wrong with him. Still, his only 'symptom' is not taking bottles.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: Glad he's doing a little better!
@josina: I hope your appointment goes well.

@winniebee: Hope he starts feeling better! Poor babe!
@josina: Hope apt goes well!
I honestly can not belive we are 3-4 months away from a year?!?!?!??! That is CRAZY to me!!!!!!

So DH just approached me very hesitantly to tell me that he found a giant ziplock bag full of 6 oz bags of breastmilk that I left out of the freezer by accident while I was trying to make everything fit Almost 100oz down the drain...
