@MrsF: K bit me a few times, I honestly yelled out loud cause I was surprised and it hurt! I think she either laughed or got upset cause I yelled out loud haha. Then I told her no biting.. And somehow she stopped doing it
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: what a big girl! K did that once that I could remember, but when it comes to sleep she is never consistent!

@BandDmommy: Maybe it's a growth spurt, so she's resting up as she grows!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@BandDmommy: We had some long naps (and more than normal) last week and I was trying to decide if it was a growth spurt or just getting over HFM. I never did get around to looking up if there is a 9 month growth spurt.

She took an hour and 40 min nap at church yesterday, I was just stuck sitting in an empty dark room for that long, my butt fell asleep Her naps are still so all over the place though... And when she's at her cousins she just won't nap long (partly b/c MIL just won't put her down the way we tell her to :meh:)

Micah was up every two hours last night. His sleep is so inconsistent!

@whenoceansrise: You're preaching to the choir sista K keeps giving me glimpses of what could be (random STTN, random put herself to sleep, random super long naps....)

@snowjewelz: haha our babies are so silly! they're cute though so i'll accept it

All these baby with teeth! I'm gonna have to invest in baby dentures soon.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: lol! no hurry! they're not useful except to bite when nursing lol! it's not like she chops up food with front teeth anyway!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: Are you still nursing? If you are, be thankful he has no teeth yet! The first thing they do when they get them is BITE you!!

@snowjewelz: naps.....lol she napped like a champ for me all weekend but apparently only 45mins in ALL today

On the topic of sleep....what are the babies doing *most* nights....as in bed time, wakings, and wake up times?
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: G's nights have rocked sleeping 7:30-6-7!
If she wakes at 6 I can nurse her back to sleep until 7-7:30!

1st week in and I feel sick... Ugh darn germy kids!
I use so much soap and sanitizer my hands are cracked

We are still sleeping 630ish-630ish. But she starts making noise by 6 most mornings and this new house is so loud that if I leave her too long, she will wake K up. Grrrr. I'm really thinking about trying to drop the first nap soon hoping that it will make her sleep a little later in the morning. But it would probably backfire and she would wake up earlier
pomelo / 5298 posts
Bedtime seems to finally be moving earlier. Tonight was 7:30 and she typically sleeps until at least 6:30
pear / 1961 posts
@winniebee: well, it definitely wouldn't be E's choice to drop it. we are solidly on two naps, and both are 90+ minutes long...so it's not like we have a short one that we could just sneak past. We'll see how things go once school/activities pick back up and we are out and about more in the mornings.

@winniebee: M usually goes down about 7pm & sleeps until about 5 - 6:30am. Sometimes there is 1 feeding about 2am, other times he's back to eating every 4 hrs (so 2 - 3 wakeups during the night). Naps are a totally different beast....some long, some short; sometimes 2 daily, sometime 4 daily. lol
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Teeth suck. Logan bit me no less than 5 times last night. I am NOT a fan.
On the topic of sleep though, Logan's still a dream baby. He's usually down for the night around 7:30. Depending on when he last nursed, I might wake him around 9:00 to feed him, but most of the nights, I don't have to. Then he sleeps until ~5:30 a.m., nurses, and goes back to sleep for an hour.

@FaithFertility: Aww hang in there!!
@Adira: Ouch!!
@winniebee: K goes to bed between 7:30-8:30 normally (but can totally be super early or super late if her naps are messed up). She will wake around 2-ish, and 5-ish. She's been really hard to settle back down after the 5-ish wake up. Now she sleeps 11-12 hrs as opposed to the 10 hrs tho. Naps are totally inconsistent still; the perfect days are when she does two long naps, otherwise she either has to go to bed early, or she takes a 3rd nap and gets a later bed time. She is still nursed/rocked to sleep..

@winniebee: Teeth are overrated I think all they do is let J literally bite off more than he can chew - then his mouth is full of a HUGE bite of food that he can't swallow. Also he bites me.
@KayKay: I can't wait to drop that first nap but J definitely needs it. He's exhausted by 9. I don't think M dropped to 1 nap until maybe 14 or 15 months.
@Adira: Oh no! All this talk about biting Hopefully he's just getting used to his new teeth!
nectarine / 2053 posts
@winniebee: most nights he goes to bed between 7:30-8:00 and usually 3 wakeups sometimes two if we're lucky.
micah has another tooth coming in and luckily he hasn't bitten me yet (knock on wood)

@whenoceansrise: still 3's! Although at night we are in 4's (just b/c I was only able to get Pampers baby dry in 4's not 3's) and was too lazy to exchange them later.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@whenoceansrise: We are in 4's and probably could move to 5's already but I'm going to try to push through as many of the 4's as I have as possible.
nectarine / 2053 posts
we're in 4's. we could probably could still do 3's but he seemed to have more blowouts in 3's so we moved up!

@whenoceansrise: Still in 3's here too..
What's everyone doing for crawlers & "hardwood" (our is fake hardwood linoleum type stuff). M doesn't have much room in our carpeted living room (will have more once we delegate our coffee table to the garage for now). We live in AZ so he hardly ever wears socks, but guess I'll have to start to protect his lil toes.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@AngelicOne: I'm not doing anything. His feet are all dusty from the hardwoods. Oops!!
@whenoceansrise: Still in 3's but probably moving to 4s the next purchase.

Ryan's sleep is decent. Around 8 months he seemed to drop the MOTN waking we were having. Now he usually sleeps 7:30-5 or 7-4:30 and then until 6:15. But last night was 7:30-5:30 and up for the day, which I'm totally fine with. Naps are inconsistent but we are at 2 naps unless there is an accidental catnap somewhere during the day - one nap is 1+ hour and one is shorter usually 45 mins. Some days we have 2 good naps though!
