@AngelicOne: Glad his apt went well!!!
@winniebee: His party looked awesome! That cake was amazing!!!!! Exciting on the move! I feel you on the busy front, between my sister's wedding, family bdays, the holidays and G's bday I can't keep up..lol

I didn't nurse G before bed last night just rocked her for 1-3mins singing you are my sunshine and palaced her in bed! Went A OK!!!
So I need to keep to that schedule....DH needs to do it more often too, she fights him with naps a lot, granted he is only home for naps every other weekend!

@winniebee: Things are going well. I last nursed J on Friday at bedtime (and definitely shed some tears ) and he didn't get any bottles while I was working this weekend and I didn't pump. I'm a tiny bit full but not bad and J slept well last night even though he has molars coming in, so I think we'll call it a success! I'll be sad putting him to bed tomorrow night without nursing, but I'm sure we'll find our new routine. FWIW I think J would still be nursing 6 times / day if I offered. He doesn't ask to nurse though, so that's made things much easier emotionally.
I'm *not* saying anything for fear of jixing things, but I've gone maybe 10 days without nursing him first thing in the morning and I think that was the right move for us!
Glad R's party went well! He looked like he was having a blast

@MrsF: I'm glad it's going ok! I'm a little ready reading your post! Ryan didn't ask to nurse before either nap today....so we went from 630a-7p...but then went a little bonkers at bed time and I was so full he was gulping and guzzling and passed out nursing. Of course my husband was like you're starving him! Sigh.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: He must be been like "so much milk! this is amazing!" I swear these boys will take whatever is there. You are NOT starving him. (I mean, I'm binging on Oreos and wine right now - doesn't mean I'm starving )
He'll adjust when you're ready

@MrsF: Glad to read the weaning is going OK!
I hear you on the tears! I didn't nurse her before bed Saturday but totally did last night because she didn't drink her whole straw cup...lol it's hard!

Kara was cranky all day yesterday and of course, I knew it, she has a fever! 101 last night, back down to 98-99 today. Don't know if it's molars, or ear infection (she has been touching her ears more often...). Dr said to just watch her today for now.

@Adira: Sorry about teething! Hope Logan finds some relief!
@FaithFertility: Aww I hope it doesn't get worse and she is in good spirits! And awesome about sleep!
@MrsF: Aww glad it's going relatively well though!!

@snowjewelz: aww boo G is sick too!
Dr apt at 10:45!
Her fever was 99 but her cough is awful and her nose is a faucet!
I am home today!
Hope K feels better!!!!!

@FaithFertility: I feel so bad for her. She was so cranky yesterday, I just knew something was wrong since she's never this bad without a reason.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
All the sick babies....ugh! R has had a cold (well, 3 actually...) since Halloween.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: yeah totally nursed her last night lol she didn't drink her straw cup at dinner so I felt bad, probably because she wasn't feeling good last night
Ohh well extra antibodies right?!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: straight out sucks! We have been so lucky she truly hasn't been sick at all this whole year! But she looks awful today
Her at breakfast she wasnt having it!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Aww it will be okay! Just give her all the snuggles! I must have gotten up like 5 times last night, but when they're sick like that I just somehow get the never-ending energy, haha!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: Absolutely, I hear ya! Yes to the snuggles and we found Sheriff Callie?!?!? How cute is that show???

@MrsF: Glad its going well, I'm sure it's hard! I know I'll cry when we get there too!
@FaithFertility: Awesome bed time routine, I wish it worked for us! Sorry G is sick, hope she feels better soon!
@snowjewelz: Oh no. Hope she's better soon too!
Forgot to mention that E's ears were clear at his check-up so ENT visit / tubes is hopefully off the table for us! Soooo glad that E has been doing so well. I'm hoping he got all his sickness out of the way for awhile! *knock on wood*
Bedtime sucks over here, I need to get better about it. He's been screaming if I just lay him in the crib, so for 2 nights I actually laid with him till he fell asleep, and past 2 nights gave him a bottle. He finishes it and is out, but then I'm creating another bad habit that will have to be broke later on. Ugh.

@mrsf: love your oreos/wine binge analogy...if anyone was home with me, they would definitely think i'm crazy from (literally) LOLing. ha.
@josina: it's so hard to not create new bad habits when things are just off for a couple days. and it's impossible to know whether the kiddos are going through something and need the extra comfort & snuggles or whether you should try to go back to the old routine! i'm in the same boat with E.
E is acting weird. i think it's part of the one year(ish) wonder week maybe? and also possibly weaning. but over the weekend she was SUPER clingy towards me, and would holler like crazy whenever K was sitting on my lap. but then she was fine when i dropped her off for her couple hours of "school" this morning, so...maybe more jealousy than separation anxiety? she was also pulling at my shirt ALL weekend and wanting to nurse at totally random times of day. i may have to give up the real nursing sessions and just go "don't offer/don't refuse" with her? i have no idea. and on top of all of that, she has been waking up between 3-4a every morning to eat. granted, she then sleeps til 7ish, but i think i've created a bad habit. UGH. These babies!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: I still lay there with K has she rolls around to fall asleep, and I will pick her up and hold her if she cries. I don't really think it's a "bad" habit per say... Even when we put her back in the crib I plan on sitting in there with her.
@KayKay: Def leap related!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@KayKay: E is suuuper clingy too lately, and even cried at drop off 2 mornings, which he never does. So maybe it is a wonder-week issue?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@KayKay: Logan has been super clingy lately to me too. Guess it's a 12 month thing.

Hi Ladies! I have found myself with a napping baby and toddler away for a special pre-birthday trip with family, so I wanted to pop in and say hi. As Charlie's birthday approaches, I keep thinking about you all and how amazing you have been to me and my family this year. I hope you all know how much I really appreciate all the notes, cards, and gifts you have sent our way. Besides family, you all have been the biggest support to me, well beyond any RL friends/acquaintances. I am so lucky that you all let me be a part of your group and continued to keep me a part of the group despite not being an active member of the group. I think about you all and your families a lot and wish the best for you all this Christmas season. Also, Happy Birthday to all the Dec babes (toddlers?!). I love seeing all their birthday photos. This year has really flown by!

@josina: Try to not worry too much about creating bad habits during a leap or other cranky stage. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to get through it! I was the queen of "bad habits" with Cayla - ha! So glad his ears are doing better!
@snowjewelz: Charlie has been going to town on his ears for a while now. No infection, so I am certain it is molars. He had a blood blister form a little while ago back there, so I know they are on their way. I am really not looking forward to those cutting... I hope K doesn't have an infection either!
@winniebee: So sorry R is still sick! He looked adorable for his birthday. I am amazed with his party considering you are moving soon too! I hope that is going well for you.
@Adira: Amen to the teething sucks sentiment. It seems like a never ending issue.
@FaithFertility: Hope her cough clears up soon!

@MrsScallop: Heyyy!! So good to see you here!! I really can't believe it's been a year! I am so excited Charlie's turning the big O-N-E! I hope you guys will get to go home soon... I am sure he's gonna have a fun birthday tho with so many people around him!
I'm hoping this is all molars and not ear infection too!

When do we stop calling them babies and move to toddler? We went to my anatomy scan today and everyone was shocked to see tiny little D running up and down the hallway. Is she a toddler?? I still say my baby.

@MrsScallop: I'm so excited to see you here. I haven't talked about Charlie much at home in front of my C, because I don't know how to put in her terms. But recently she saw pictures and asked questions. She also has a Charlie in her Pre-K class. Yesterday she saw something at home for Charlie and she asked if it was for her friend. I responded, no. She said OH, is it for that baby that's like K but hasn't been home yet because he's been sick? I said yes. She said, Oh good, I think I love him. Queue, heartmelt . So thank you for sharing this journey with us and allowing us an opportunity to share your boy with our families.
