@snowjewelz: Yeah - it takes a few days but the prune juice definitely softens things.

@josina: it's funny -- i didn't realize how NOT full i had been for the last...oh who knows how long...since my supply had adjusted. Now with not feeding at bedtime the last two nights, and E not emptying me totally the 2x/day she does nurse, it's a little ridiculous. But it doesn't take too long to regulate usually!

@josina: awe yay to no pumping! Hopefully last day of feeling full!

I totally cheated and hand-expressed some.
@KayKay: Its funny how often I feel my boobs to tell how 'full' they are or not!

Back home now & caught up on this thread finally. Vacation went okay. Everyone ended up catching our stomach bug & Matthew ended up with an upper respiratory infection & now has a runny nose. Matthew had a good birthday though at least
@josina: I haven't been pumping for a month & a half. It's glorious! LOL

Can changing a diaper too often cause a rash?!
Weird ? I know, but I was told this today as to why G has another rash!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MamaG: I guess, I'm going to use water and cloth for a w days, I don't change her to often IMO
but was told her skin isn't used to being in the acid long since I change her pretty quickly!
Example if I know she has a wet diaper I change her instead of a time frame of every few hours!
I guess I wanted to know if thsi is true?!

@FaithFertility: Go G!!!
I wouldn't think changing a diaper too often could cause a rash, but maybe if the wipes are irritating or you're not allowing the bum to dry before putting a new one back on.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@Adira: yeah I am pretty good about that, so I am not going to use wipes and hope that helps!!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@FaithFertility: our daycare changes on a schedule unless it's a BM. They use a two hour rule. Diapers are pretty absorbent and get the wetness off the skin. We have a rash right now too. I'm not sure why.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MamaG: Yeah her sitter is the same , a family member actually said that we/they change to often and that is why, because the one time you can't change her quick her skin can't handle it?!
Kinda was like ummmm no....lol
pear / 1961 posts
@faithfertility: ok, i get what they were saying now. i still don't think it should make that big of a difference (assuming they are changing her every 2ish hours)!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@KayKay: yeah me either, whatever I Can do to stop the rash I will....they look painful
pomelo / 5298 posts
@FaithFertility: What are you using for a diaper rash cream? We have a couple that we find work better for us than others. You might want to try changing the cream up? For example, K was really red and in pain last night, but this morning she was all cleared up. Also, use a lot of cream so that it's a barrier. I didn't realize as a FTM how much I needed to really make it work well.

I don't change K's diaper that often either and daycare def checks on a schedule. If it's not poop, I always just use water and then baby powder to dry first. And any sign of redness I attack with a ton of cream haha!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: I can't imagine that changing the diaper too often would be an issue. Wipes were definitely irritating for M though, and we had to switch to cloth and water for a while. Just make sure she's super dry before you put the new diaper on and before you put any cream on (it's a barrier so it traps the wetness in).

First night K is being put to bed by grandma! Really missing my nugget since we have to leave as soon as I get home and she will be asleep by the time we get back! And I cannot even even deal with the fact that after tonight she will be 1!! @theotherstark

I'm so conflicted ladies... This week I've been just nursing J at bedtime. I still enjoy the snuggle time to sort of reconnect before bed. Tonight he seemed sort of frustrated - lots of fast sucking but not really swallowing or relaxing, so I would imagine that he's not getting much of any milk.
I'm working two 12 hour shifts this weekend and won't see him at all so it would probably be a good time to tell DH to not give him bottles at bedtime and just not pump and not nurse again. The idea of nursing him for the last time tomorrow makes me cry though! Sigh. I don't want him to be frustrated and I know that it's probably time to move on with a different routine... I just feel so sad about it though

@MrsF: I'm not ready for that either... Hope it goes well for both of you!
@snowjewelz: Happy birthday K!
NOT looking forward to E's 12 mo. appt. today. I hate shots for him.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: hugs it's so hard!!
@josina: I hope his appt goes well! Thanks!
She fell asleep at 10:15 so morning nap is a success! I tried my best to wear her out haha. So hopefully she will cooperate at the photo shoot!

@josina: Not looking forward to M's appt today either. He's already pretty cranky since we got back from vacation. His sleep is horrible (wanting to skip naps or only taking 15 min ones here & there). He has a cold I think, so that's not helping either.
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@AngelicOne: E's been horrible to get to bed at night the past few days too. Last night I actually laid in his crib with him for 20 minutes till he fell asleep b/c I did not want to bring him to bed again or CIO. And this morning and yesterday he cried at daycare drop off, which is REALLY weird for him.
Must be rough being one! Hope M gets over the cold soon and his appt. goes well!

@MrsF: awww sorry I am sure it will be easier for him.if you are not even there ((hugs))
@josina: Hope apt goes we

@josina: @AngelicOne: I hope both appointments went ok! The shots are so hard to watch even though they forget quickly..
@snowjewelz: Ooh! I hope the photos go well
@FaithFertility: That's adorable And trust me! The fun really begins after 1!

I am loooooving all her pictures!!! Today has been a long day. We did pictures, lunch with my parents, then I picked up her favors and decorated. Tomorrow I have to pick up cake, and I gotta reprint some of her monthly pictures because I lost some of them?!
I will totally be spamming FB/IG!!!
This whole day I've bee recounting what I was doing at the hospital. She technically still hasn't been born yet

Happy Birthday K & H!
@snowjewelz: Can't wait to see pics!
@josina: How'd E's appt go today? M got 4 shots (needed his 2nd flu too), but he only cried for a minute. Doing good otherwise!
M's dropped some weight, so he's down to 21.8lbs now. I'll post all of his stats on the other thread.

@snowjewelz: right?! How is this possible?!? Happy birthday to K!!! I can't wait to see pics from the party! I spammed today oops. And yeah, h wasn't born until 11:29pm, so... I guess he isn't technically one year old yet? Haha.
@MrsF: ugh that's so hard I'm sorry
@FaithFertility: aww thank you! Love that G gave out invites
@AngelicOne: I'm interested to see how much H weighs on Monday. I feel like he has really plateaued since he is walking and running all over the place. But he is growing like a weed height-wise, I think, so we will see!

@snowjewelz: Aw - sounds like a fun day! So glad you love the pictures. Happy Birthday K
@AngelicOne: Glad the appointment went well!
@theotherstark: I loved your pictures! So precious

@AngelicOne: Glad M's appt went well! Ethan had four shots as well, with his flu shot and had to get blood taken for lead and hemoglobin. He cried for the shots but not at all for the blood draw! Happy baby rest of the day.
persimmon / 1050 posts
@josina: M was okay for the 1st 2 shots, then cried for the last 2. LOL Glad E was happy the rest of the day.
@theotherstark: I was surprised M lost weight. Guess his wanting to walk 24/7 & getting sick helped him lose a little. Ped wasn't too concerned about it though.

Happy belated birthday K and H!!
@MrsF: how did it go?? Weaning Is tough business. I'm hoping Ryan will take the lead but he really hasn't yet so we are stuck at 4 sessions. But he's away next weekend so I'm wondering if that will push him.
We had Ryan's party yesterday. So much fun but so much work!! We start packing today....closing in a little over a week...eek!
