@MrsScallop: I'm so sorry. I hope the stay is brief and Charlie can bounce back quickly. If he's had a seizure, what does that mean for him?
persimmon / 1328 posts
@MamaG: I am honestly not sure. If he had a seizure, it looked different from any other I have seen. His other one in March was sickness induced, so I would assume this case is the same, but I really don't know.

@MrsScallop: Oh no, praying for sweet charlie and wisdom for the doctors to figure out what's going on. Sending you lots of love mama; it must be hard to be back at PICU already

@MrsScallop: Oh no. I saw that picture on IG and it was so sweet how C was comforting her little brother. Praying it's nothing serious and he gets to come back home ASAP!

@mrsscallop: oh mama -- so sorry! glad you are on the way to be admitted somewhere you can get some answers & help. what a rollercoaster you guys have been riding, especially lately! thinking of you.
@faithfertility: hope G fights it off -- a little (lot) of extra screentime is just what the "doctor" orders sometimes!

@MrsScallop: I am so sorry How scary, and how frustrating to have to go back, too. I hope his stay is brief.

@faithfertility: Hope G feels better soon! M has been coughing a lil bit. Hoping if he's coming down with something, he gets it out of his system now since we go on vacation in like 3 weeks.

He is doing better today and the docs here aren't convinced he had a seizure. It sounds like we will probably be here for another few days at least, but most agree he looks good for the most part.

@MrsScallop: I'm just seeing your post from yesterday You must be so sad and frustrated to be back in the hospital. I can't imagine the roller coaster ride... I'm glad to see the update that the docs think he's doing ok. We'll all be thinking of you and Charlie

@MrsScallop: It sucks not to know what really happened though. I just hope that these incidents will be few and far in between!

K is finally moving up to a new classroom next week! Nervous, but this room is so much bigger and has way more "big kid" stuff so I'm excited for her as well. And luckily, they aren't requiring them to sleep on cots yet, so I don't have to think about that!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Aww, she's moving up! I need to find out when Logan is moving. Xander moved to the toddler room right around this age too, so I would expect it to be soon.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: Yeah I had been wondering since she turned 18 mo but never remember to ask lol and just got the notice! Apparently she already had been spending time w/ her new teachers and I had no clue!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: My daycare is like that too. One day I'll walk in and they'll say "He's been visiting the toddler room and it's been going great! He's moving there on Monday!" LOL
pomelo / 5298 posts
@snowjewelz: Don't be afraid of the cot K has been sleeping on one at daycare since last October. She moved into the toddler room at that time and it wasn't a big deal. Her biggest issue (still) is she likes to visit all of the cots before she settles into hers. This has resulted in her getting bit on more than one occasion. She's now in the early preschool class and doing great. She has a ton more room to roam and play and also has a real chair (the toddler chairs have sides). She cries at drop off and cries at pick up. Make up your mind kiddo!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: LOL! Yes, I'm loving the bigger space and more toys/equipment more appropriate for toddlers! It would be interesting to see how she adjusts to the cot! But I am confident since I didn't think she would go to sleep by herself in a crib there either!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@snowjewelz: That's exciting! I'm sure she'll do great
@MamaG: Aw - K is such a big girl! Adorable

@snowjewelz: Awww K is growing up!!! I am sure she will love it!!!!!
A local daycare where a friend of mine sends her kiddos was telling me that at 19 months in the Bigger room and they are on cots, have to use a cup and no blankets or animals for nap time
pear / 1961 posts
I always find that the kids are actually ready for whatever the next step up is (cots, using a cup, etc)...and I was always thankful that daycare pushed them to do that! If it were up to me (or most parents, I assume), I'd always be like: oh, she's too little for that, and then she'd master it right away Always showing me up!
E loves to drink the milk out of her cereal bowl after she finishes the cereal. She rarely spills, so I suppose she is ready for an open cup. But man, I'm not ready! ha.
Anyone doing anything fun for the 4th? We are heading to DH's parents' lakehouse from Sat-Weds. Not looking forward to the travel, but can't wait for some relaxing (in theory...haha)! E has never been there, so can't wait to show her the fireflies and take her out on the boats. We might even get K on a tube
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@KayKay: Agree with this! I think a lot of kids' frustrations are them wanting to move forward to the next step but parents saying "wait a minute!"
We are away next week at my husband's family's lakehouse. Really happy to have some time off, away from the doldrums.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Wow! I actually think Kara will adjust better at daycare if she can't have her binky and blankie haha. It's like she can fall asleep by herself in a crib there, but never at home!
@KayKay: K is always demanding an open cup... She has def spilled more than anything but I figure it's practice! She loves drinking the leftover "juice" from fruits lol!
Lake sounds so much fun!
We are invited to a few BBQs, but I kinda just want to keep it low key and hang out at the pool or something.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@KayKay: Absolutely! Looking back so many things are done at her sitters that I wasn't even thinking she was ready for
Potty training being one of them!
Also, even though I am a teacher, it cracks me up how GOOD she is for Mrs.Lydia eats whatever I pack, waits her turn, goes down for a nap no issues EVER!!!
Lake House sounds wonderful ladies!
We were suppose to be in Orlando right now at a fun resort but due to G's ear and such we switched dates to next week! So the 4th we will probably crash one of Grandmas pools and then head to a fun downtown Fest! Then headed to Orlando for the rest of the week!!!

No fun plans for us. My mom is coming in for a visit so hopefully that'll go smoothly!

@FaithFertility: G feeling any better? Poor girl.
And I was thinking about your dog post yesterday when E gave ANOTHER shoe to our lab. She has eaten 3 pairs of shoes now and all he has for the weekend unless I go shopping is a pair of too-big Carters flip flops or too-hot Gap Tennies! Ugh. Something to consider when getting a puppy. What did you decide?
We are headed north to my hometown for their 4th of July parade/games on Saturday. Sunday fireworks somewhere. Monday canoeing, and Tuesday is my first appt. for baby 2.
Busy!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: lol! E just gave away all his shoes! I can see why your lab loves them, they are just the perfect bite size snack
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: She is feeing Better ear wise, but last night she was coughing so much she literally couldn't stop it was awful!!! She kept crying saying "tired" and just couldn't stop! She fell asleep on DH's chest in our bed for a few hrs then a fit again! I think it is her sinus draining!
So far barley a cough today?!
UghhUghh the dog issue, it's hard we go back and forth, but I think we are 60/40 60% wait awhile....for now.. lol
Baby #2 apt so exciting how are you feeling?!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@FaithFertility: Aww, thats so sad, poor G. E has been sick with a cold this past week, bad enough that we had to get his inhaler out for a couple nights, but I think we're near the end of it.
I'm just over 6 weeks, so mostly just tired although I could blame that on E's crappy sleeping too. Nauseous this morning, which I didn't have much with E, so we'll see if that continues!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@snowjewelz: lol, it may actually be 4 pairs since I'm missing 1 tennis shoe yet and can't find it anywhere!
He needs to hurry up and grow into his size 6's so he has shoes again, lol.
