No 4th plans here. It's always too hot outside & M's bedtime is 7:30, so fireworks are out (they don't start until about 9pm)
@FaithFertility: Hope she's better soon. M has a little bit of a cough too sometimes. Gotta get it outta the way before vacation in 2 weeks.
@josina: Yummy toddler shoes! LOL Hope the nausea doesn't stick around.
Posted this on my FB earlier, but we was sitting in the dining room earlier & M was in the living room playing with my phone. We could hear him talking to it (he knows the dialer screen means he gets to talk to grandparents). DH got up to see what he was doing, & M had called DH's mom. Guess he couldn't wait to see/talk to her (she's coming in 2 weeks). Glad he picked her out of all the random people in my contacts.

@angelicone: fireworks here don't start til at least 10, but more like 1030. i might see if K can make it but have very low expectations. honestly, i might not make it

@AngelicOne: I hear ya, we switched our little trip to Orlando from this week to next due to her ear, now we just need this cough to go away!
She went to bed at 8 and has been up hacking/crying 2 times already
Praying it passes and she can sleep!

@AngelicOne: That's so adorable that he was calling her
@FaithFertility: I hope G is feeling better soon! I feel like toddler coughs hang around forever at our house
@josina: Hopefully the nausea passes quickly!

I just finished packing and we're headed out to the Cape after lunch! I'm excited to be going to our happy place for the holiday weekend - but dreading sitting traffic with 2 kids in the car. I'm so spoiled that it's relatively close but the July 4th traffic is the worst!

Bleh, first day of transition seemed to be chaotic! My mom picked her up and found that there's no confirmation as to when she napped till, and her diaper was soaking/heavy. And they also told us we don't need to send anything new, but then suddenly said she needs a lunch bag. Hopefully it's just the transition blues! I might have to do drop off tomorrow to talk to them about this... I went this morning by myself and everything seemed great! Her old teachers were even going there periodically to help/checkup on the kiddos.

@snowjewelz: Aw - I hope the second day is better! It can be so unsettling for everyone to have a big change like that.

@MrsF: K was totally fine! I'm just irked that I don't know when she napped till, and that no one changed her diaper!

@MrsF: I'm sorry:( I hope that today was just a fluke and it will be great!!!!!!!

@snowjewelz: Transitions are always hard. Hopefully tomorrow goes better!
I asked about Logan transitioning, but there are apparently two kids ahead of him, so it's not happening anytime soon!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
I hope so too! I'm gonna show up early by myself again to talk to the teachers.

@snowjewelz: Hope today is a great day!!!!
G's vocabulary and use of words is crazy these days!
Full sentences and saying words I had no idea she knew!
She also has such a little personality and funny bone!
AlAlthough sleep is still the pits in regards to her staying in crib, this stage is awesome!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Full sentences!!!! Impressive!!!!
Logan has added "up" to his vocabulary and says it all the time with his arms outstretched to pick him up. I don't mind!

@Adira: Awwww I feel ya! I feel like I am a sap these days knowing she is only my own for a few more months!!

@faithfertility: 16-24m (approx) is my favorite stage. It was hard to tell with DD1 bc every stage has its good and bad, and they develop so fast that it seems awesome every time they can do so many new things. But this age is really this sweet spot of baby but person, skills but still needs you, new things but a good routine, and adorable without much malice coming back to it the second time now, it really is the best. For me anyways!! Enjoy it

@snowjewelz: transitions can be such a pain if they don't make YOU comfortable! Hopefully it goes better the rest of the week!

I went to talk to the teacher this morning and got a clearer picture of their new schedule, etc so hopefully it will be smoother!
Apparently they were going to put K & the new kids in the cribs; but after they saw the current kids go on the mat they all wanted it and slept on it! But K and one other girl just woke up early. And now why can't I just dump you on a mat at home and you go to sleep?? Haha!
@FaithFertility: Yes! Everyday I say to DH that she is such a big girl! She totally understands what we say to her and does what I ask her to do (most of the time). Our child-free friends were so impressed that she would go get me a tissue, wipe me with it and throw it out for me lol!

@snowjewelz: Sweet K! G dumped her cheerios on the couch on accident and went to the closet and tried to open the door I asked why she said "Vacuum" and ran to show me the cherrio dust... I had NO IDEA she knew the word or where it was!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: they are indeed sponges! it's kinda great b/c you don't even have to purposely teach them stuff they're just picking it all up. downside is that they pick up the good and bad!
I actually bought a toy vacuum @ Target on clearance but I'm hiding it for now. She only gets to play with the swiffer since it's not heavy; but she gets mad when it gets stuck.

What's new in tantrum land?
K is pretty good most of the time; but this morning was too funny. I had tore up a slice of cheese for her and she wanted another slice. But then when I tore it in half she started crying and told me to put it back lol. I was like uhh sorry.... Then she proceeded to eat it while crying about it

@snowjewelz: awwww hahaah funny! They love to clean! Hopefully this stays

@snowjewelz: K has started walking into daycare while holding her lunchbox. Although the past few mornings had found her milk and wanted to drink it while walking in. This morning she didn't want to give me her milk back to go in the fridge and I could still hear her screaming about it as I walked out the door,

@snowjewelz: Glad you got to talk to the teachers this morning.
@FaithFertility: Oh, sleep. I miss you, lol. Yesterday I woke up at 5 am... sleeping on my back with E sleeping on top of my chest, head off one side, butt of the other, like HOW is that even comfortable.
@FaithFertility: @snowjewelz: Ethan has a 'real' vacuum so he gets to help me when I clean, teach em young!
I was super impressed yesterday when he picked up his legos by himself.
Tantrums... yesterday E cried for 5 minutes because he wanted a 'ride' vs. going to say hi to daddy first.

@josina: Hahahah yes, she was on foot of bed yesterday head on DH feet?!?!? WTH kiddo?!?!?!

DAY 2 toddler room, slept on mat again from 12:15-2 and had to be woken up when DH got there! Teacher said she did wake up, but looked around and went back to sleep
It's crazy what peer pressure does haha!

@snowjewelz: tantrums! Micah has started banging his head on things when he gets upset. So weird!

@FaithFertility: Oh that's adorable - and impressive! I started to get to sappy about M before J was born when I knew she wouldn't be my only much longer. Now I can't imagine how boring her life would be without her crazy little brother around
honeydew / 7283 posts
@snowjewelz: Glad things went better today!
Tantrums are ridiculous. J's new thing is burying his head in his hands and sobbing when he doesn't get his way or if we tell him "no". So much drama!

@MrsF: I know she is going to LOVE him! It's definitely a roller coaster of emotions!!!

@winniebee: How is dinner time these days?! I know a few weeks ago you said it was blahhh...
G hasn't been eating much at all lately, I think it may be the meds and such, but she barley eats these days and dinner is a joke maybe 2-3 bites
persimmon / 1050 posts
@snowjewelz: Tantrums.... so so dramatic! M cries & goes to whichever of us didn't tell him no or didn't let him get his way. LOL
@snowjewelz: WTG K!
@whenoceansrise: M bangs his head on stuff too....like in the mornings when I go get him out of his PnP.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Weekdays K's a pretty good eater, I'm guessing just due to routine. Weekends seem to be trickier for lunch/dinner as we may not eat at the same time, we eat out aka she's distracted, etc. Maybe I'm just tired from pregnancy but I really haven't given it 2 thoughts lol!
Ah, I'm loving toddler room. Now that she naps later, she goes to bed a little later but thank heavens woke up at 6:40 which is a dramatic improvement from 6!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
I'm loving the tantrum stories hah! I find myself just laughing most of the time b/c of the smallest thing she decides to freak out about. This morning I made sure not to tear up her cheese and she ended up asking me to break it up.....

@snowjewelz: Awesome sleep! Tuesday was my last day off and E slept till 8! It was amazing, lol.
We sort of attempted to let E go to sleep without us laying next to the bed... left the room, shut the door, told him to get back into bed, etc. And then the tears came and DH caved right away. We suck at this, lol.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: Yeah she has been way off lately with eating, I'm not too worried about it but man kid what are you living on ?!?
I sent a very heathy hearty lunch to her sitters today because I KNOW she will eat it all there...lol
