I never thought I would get married as young as I did (26). I always thought I'd get married when I was 30+, have 2 kids shortly thereafter, and be done before 35.
I got married at 26, had Charlie at 31 and Olive at 32.
How did you life match up according to your "plan"... come on we all had one?

I wanted to get married right out of college at 22 and have kids a couple of years later.
But I decided to go to grad school so college didn't end for me until I was 25. And when I graduated I dumped my bf of 7 1/2 years, so I couldn't get married.
I didn't get married till I was 27 (1week away from 28 but not there yet) and had lo when I was 28.

Matched up exactly. Wanted to get married at 25, and didn't want to start a family before 27. I ended up married at 25, and had a baby at 28.

Nope. I never planned on getting married and I wasn't planning on having kids until my 30s. I got married at 22 and had C at 24. lol

My plan was to not get married or have kids up until I hit about 33. Then all of a sudden my plan changed, but I wasn't even dating anyone... so all sense of timelines was out the window. I'm thrilled that I got married and had my babies before 40

I planned on getting married youngish, around 24, and start having kids a couple years later. We ended up getting married when I was 26 and having first LO when I was 27, so pretty much we're on track!

I definitely didn't think I'd get married as young as I did. I got married at 20, but I don't regret that decision at all.

Depends on which plan! But early in college, I thought I'd get married a few years post college and start having babies by my later 20s. Post college when I had just started dating dh long distance, I figured I'd get married by around 27 with first baby by 29. I was 29 when we got married and will be 32 when I have this first one. I still want to be done with my second by 35.

Hah nooo. I thought I'd get married in my mid to late 20s, then have a kid at 30ish. I got married at 23 and am having LO just after I turn 26. Bit different, but wouldn't change it for anything

nope! i wanted to be married by 24 and pregnant by 25. got married at 27 and i'll be 29 the end of april and i'm not holding my breath that i'll be pregnant by then.

I didn't have a timeline except that I did not want to get married or have kids at a young age. I had LO at 30 which still seems awfully young to me!

I shocked even myself! Married at 24 (one of the first of our friends), had baby at 27 (one of the last of our friends...how did that happen). For someone who had their Masters degree by the time they were 20...I wasn't really planning on marriage/baby "so soon."

Things happened pretty much according to the plan I had when I was younger. Marry my college sweetheart and have a baby a couple of years later. As I got older, but before I started dating DH, my plan relaxed significantly. I was 22 when we got married, and 25 when LO was born.

Never had a timeline but got married younger than I would've guessed at 22 and baby the day after I turned 25. Just worked out that way! I definitely would've said everything later if you'd asked me at 20 but I've always been young to do everything I guess.

In college I had a mental image, not really a timeline to follow, that's I would be married by 25 to my collee bf of 5 years. The year after I graduated, I ended things and that image changed. I was never concerned with when, I just knew I would et married and have kids. Got married at 30 and had LO at 31.

In high school, I thought I would get married around 25-26 and children right after. Well, I got married at 26 but finances weren't great so we didn't TTC until a year and a half after we got married. Didn't think we would still be TTC after a year and a half of starting.

When i was younger i thought id be married by 25 and have a kid by 28.
Im 30 now, and gave birth 2 days before my 30th birthday! Still not married but will hopefully be changing that this year or next, when we have some $$$ for a wedding.

When I was young I wanted to be married by 24 and stqrt kids by 25. I was 25 when we got married and a few weeks shy of 27 when lo was born. I still plan to be done with number two before I turn 30.

I wanted to be married by 30 and done with having 2 kids by 35. I'm pretty on track so far. Met my DH when i was 23, married at 27, bought first house at 28, had first kid at 30. Life is pretty good at the moment.

I didn't think I would get married as young as I did (22). I kind of thought by now, 3 years later, we'd be actively trying (still a year away probably) but my "timeline" is to have at least 2 kids by 35, so we have plenty of time.

I wanted to be married by 26 and was married at 26, so that part lined up... but I wasn't expecting to have kids so soon! I had my first at 27, and I'll be having my second at 29. I want to be done with all kids before I'm 34 though. I'm still on the fence about a 3rd kid.... we'll see how we do with two first!

I wanted to be married by 25, two kids - one at 27, one at 29. Maybe one more in early 30s. I'm 27 and newly married, TTC so hopefully kids at 28 and 30... Not too far off at this stage, but will have to wait and see how the TTC pans out.

I got married way too early (in college) the first time around. When that was over, I swore I'd NEVER marry again. My plan was to travel around, not have kids of my own and maybe adopt when I'm 40. When DH and I got together, that changed completely. I realized I wanted my own family (although he has always known), and that was the only reason why we got married. I'm going to preface this by saying I grew up in a small town where my timeline is pretty standard, but I wanted to get married at 18 and have my first child by 21. I always thought I'd marry my high school sweetheart because we dated for 5 years but things didn't work out and we split right before graduation. Best thing that could have happened lol. I ended up getting married at 23 and having my first child at 24. Behind my original schedule but on a much better path

I didn't have timeline, but DH did. He told me recently that he'd always thought that getting married around 22 and having kids around 25 would be perfect. Our wedding was 3 months after he turned 22, and LO was born 3 months after he turned 25.

I didn't really have a timeline. I'd always focused more on academics than dating, so when I met DH when I was 18, he was the first guy I'd ever dated.
We got engaged when I was 19, married a few days after I turned 21, and are expecting our first LO at 22 (me) & 33 (him).
I will say that I never expected to be the first of my friends to get married!

When I was in HS I figured I'd be married by 24 and have a few kids before 30. I didn't meet my DH until I was 25, got married at 27, and had our first at 29.

Instead, I got married at 29, LO#1 at 30...And now I'm a few months shy of 32 so we'll see!

When I was in high school, I wanted to be married by 22 and have my first kid by 25. Then I got to college and realized I wanted a little more time to myself before I really settled down. So now we're pretty much going along with my revised timeline in wanting to have kids by 30. Got married at 24, had first LO at 26. We will probably have a second LO in a few years and then be done by 30. Unless I consider a third LO...

I'm pretty much right where I hoped I'd be! I always imagined I would get married right out of college, spend two years just enjoying being married, and then have my first baby before I turned 25. Well... I got married two weeks after college graduation, got pregnant on my two year anniversary, and will be having our first LO five months before I turn 25.

My plan was to be married by 25 and be done having children by 30. Instead I got married at 29 (only two months away from 30) and we hope to be done having children before 35 (if it works out that way!).
I have to say that I'm glad that I'm older. I've had a chance to accomplish a lot of goals that I've had for my life and I really feel emotionally ready for my marriage and children. I would not have been ready at 25.

Originally, I thought I'd get married in my mid-twenties and be finished having kids (2 or 3) by 30. Yeah, so didn't work out that way. I had two long term serious relationships in my 20s that ended, and didn't meet DH until I was 33. We got married just after I turned 36, and I'll be having baby girl at 37. As of today, we'd like to have two total. If that decision holds after we experience this little one, I'd like to be finished before 40. I don't really regret the path of my life. I've had a lot of fun and learned a great deal about myself and my choices. I wouldn't have minded having babies a little bit younger (maybe early thirties), but I'm so happy with life right now, I can't really complain.

There was no timeline or plan. I never imagined myself getting married or having kids at all! My family is a wonderful surprise blessing, not something I ever could have planned for!
