I'm too much of a planner to wait. We had a boy and a girl name ready so we just had to wait to figure out the sex, and the name was picked out.

I do admit that I was worried that it wouldn't "fit" her though. One of the first things I said to my baby was that she looks like a Rose

We just chose a name a couple weeks ago and have been using it when we talk to her. We're not worried about not fitting her once she is born. Actually, neither of us have even thought about it not being the right name for her. We think it'll be perfect for her.

We settled on the name years before we got pregnant, when we were newly engaged. Since we've told family and friends the name, I hope we don;t decide to change it once she's here!

We totally had LO's name picked out before she was born.

Name will be picked by the end of the first trimester. And our girl's name is already picked.

We have two girl names and two boy names but we will wait until the baby arrives before deciding upon a particular name. There is a chance that we may decide on something completely different when we see the baby anyway.

Personally, I don't like babies in utero being referred to by the name the parents plan on using after birth. No offense to anyone out there who does that, but I just find it really weird and it sort of creeps me out. My SIL did this all throughout her pregnancy once she found out the gender and it drove me crazy. We're Team Green but even if we did find out the gender, we still would not refer to it by the name we planned on using. I also think it takes away a bit of the surprise element when the baby is born, but that could be just me.

Well we know what name we'll be using for our first boy. We are naming him after my husband's grandpa and using my uncle's name as a middle name.

I think we will have our name picked out before our baby is born. That is, if we can agree on anything. We'll have a back up name too. Just in case our first one doesn't fit.

Yes we did. We would brainstorm names but seeing we have so many "rules" due to language... we decided to make our final decision before hand. I loved calling my bump, babys name. Made it that much sweeter when we met him.

We aren't officially TTC yet, but we have 2 boy names & one girl name. I have 2 girl names I like a lot that the DH isn't completley sold on but they aren't off the table. We know that they could always change, but our girl name is one I've had picked out of years, and our #1 boy name we both really love. So unless someone close to us uses one of the names I'm sure we will use them!

Also, when you've noticed people saying the first initial is it possible that they're referring to their last name? Like Baby L(astname)? I guarantee my kid will be called "Baby V" on my blog until the day they're born!

We had one picked. It was the only boy name we both liked (I'm the picky one, though.) God help us if we have another boy.

We've (I think) settled on our #1 name choices. I want us to have back-up names though, in case we look at the baby and they are just not a "Name #1".

We're not going to TTC for another year or so, but we already have names picked out...which probably makes me sound crazy, lol! DH and I are very picky when it comes to names, so when we found two we liked (one for a boy, one for a girl), we were like, "This is it. DONE."

Not pregnant or TTC yet, but we (my) favorite roadtrip pasttime is talking about baby names. We definitely have some ideas, and also a long way to go before we agree on anything.

I think we'll have a name and a backup name.

We did but it took a while! We waited until we knew the gender to talk about names and then we went round and round. I think we finally decided around 32 weeks. We did refer to baby by her name after that privately but kept it a secret until she wwas born. I love her name and it really suits her!
