I recently found out how bad toilet paper is for the environment:

Up to 22% of toilet paper is harvested from old growth (200 year old) trees in Canada. It takes 37 gallons of water just to make one roll of toilet paper, not to mention all the chlorine. It's bad for septic systems. And it's expensive.
DH and I are considering either using cloth wipes or getting a bidet. We already cloth diaper, so using cloth ourselves isn't that much different. But what we will probably do is buy this bestselling bidet from Amazon (only $36!):

It's hands-free and is more energy efficient than cloth.
Any other bees think toilet paper is shit?

I joked to my roommates after moving back to the city that I was going to keep a cooler of snow in the bathroom to use as toilet paper - they were not amused!

it was gross). it freaks me out to think of chicken juice in with my things & it would seem wasteful to wash one alone because it's touched chicken. do you do a whole load of kitchen towels or mix them in?
