Do you keep the birthday cards your LO gets for their birthday? What about cards for other holidays? What do you do with them if you do keep them?

No. We only save a copy of our own Christmas card or if something very meaningful is written in the card.
DH's mother recently gave us shoeboxes full of EVERY card he had ever received since his birth.... We "saved" a few and chucked them. We felt guilty about it but what were we supposed to do with 20 " happy 4th birthday, signed X"

We kept first birthday cards and a few other "firsts" and cards with meaningful letters inside. Otherwise they all go in the recycling.

Pretty sure we don't have any from her first birthday laying around still... LOL!

I did. Then I just kept ones from us and grandparents. I actually donate cards to the St. Jude's recycled card program, which made getting rid of them easier.

I keep Christmas cards from the previous year to remember who sent them so we can reciprocate. I don't keep birthday cards unless they're super special.

I keep cards from special people or if there is a nice note. So far my mom has sent a card for every one of DS's first holidays which are nice keepsakes. I've started a memory box for him.

I do... but not sure what I will do with it. Maybe put a hole punch through the corner and make a book out of it.

@Reese: Did you see any cards from people who have died? I'm guessing years from now, it might be nice for my LO's to see cards from those people. Especially any cards where they wrote a personal message.
Also, I wouldn't feel hurt if they tossed them. Don't feel guilty.

@Boogs: I love that but so weird about them not taking hallmark cards!
•We can not accept Hallmark, Disney or American Greeting cards

@Mamaof2: There's probably some sort of trademark or licensing issue is my guess? I don't know where I heard about them, but I've been sending my cards for years.
