My birthday's next week. I have no idea what I want for my birthday. This question is bugging me. I provided a list to DH, but can't think of anything to ask for from my parents. Why is this question getting harder to answer as I get older. Last year, they told me to not ask for anything for LO. Ugh, such a first world problem. So, what do you ask for birthday presents when you really don't know what you want?

In no particular order:
1) a facial
2) a massage
3) a day off of all parental duties
4) jewelryAll but #3 are doable.
I really do hope for the facial, though. My skin is soooo drab!

A weekend with my hubby! But an actual gift....a massage or amazon gift card.

@chopsuey: This is bad, but DH tends to forget holidays and birthday. We had a fight about it because he said something that upset me in passing. I stated that I absolutely want cake or something edible on my birthday and not to forget it like he forget Mother's Day and Christmas gifts for me last year. He already knows that I'm getting a donut on my birthday as part of the last day of my donut ban until the next donut ban.

Probably either a prenatal massage or $ for a few summer maternity items since my bday is in May!

I asked for a Sophia the First Ice Cream Cake. My husband ordered a bunch of figures and delivered.

in a dream world a weekend away all by myself. i love driving by myself so maybe somewhere a couple hours away where i can just read, relax, watch tv, get spa treatments. oh to dream....

@Smurfette: Yeah, I'm kind of excited for it. I told DH about it too. DH weighed himself the other day. I weigh a lot less than he does. He was impressed by it. His support with my WW has been amazing.

I have the same issue. It's so hard to tell people what you want as you get older. My birthday is this weekend and I hate answering that question! Plus my family knows I'm very picky - but hey, at least I admit it to them!
DH is taking me away for the weekend and getting me a prenatal massage on Saturday - I'm so freaking excited!

@fussygal: Happy Birthday! The weekend away sounds awesome. I still don't know if I'm going to tell my parents anything. I'm thinking another weekend of watching LO would be plenty for a birthday present. I think that's what we wanted as a joint Christmas present anyway. They're so awesome for offering it to us.

My birthday recently passed, but my DH is giving me my present this weekend : Afternoon tea at the Windsor Arms hotel! We go every year
this year we didn't reserve early enough so we couldn't get in until this weekend.

My mom had been asking for a list, and I sent her one earlier today. I wished for a new bottle of Chanel perfume, a coffee grinder and LeCreuset coffee canister, the ice cream attachment for my stand mixer, a bottle of nail polish in a new color I liked, a flat whisk, and gift cards to my favorite stores for clothes. Random, but a range of price points from which she can choose.

I asked for a knife set last year. My IL's couldn't figure out which one to get, so they did tons of research and got me one for Christmas instead. I normally ask for kitchen stuff and books.
