... in person?

I love showing her off in photos. She's so adorable and I know my family likes when I post a ton of pics on fb/instagram, plus I feel like I take SO many photos of her every day, by posting 1-2/day on social media it sort of culls my collection for me without trying and I love scrolling back through my feed.

But in person? No. I do not. I don't get the whole "you've got to meet the baby!" thing. I've never said that and never actually invited someone over to meet her. It sort of stresses me out when she's the center of attention in a room, especially if there is more than 1 person there to meet her. She doesn't love being held and trying to get people to hold her the right way so she doesn't freak and also rescue her when she's over it without being rude and manage inevitable melt downs in front of other people? Don't love it.

My mom is throwing a "meet the baby" party for my entire family and some family friends this weekend and we're going because I know it is required and it is important to my mom. But on the phone today she was saying how she just can't wait to show Fia off and how she thinks (even though I don't think I will) I'll have fun showing her off to all the family/friends. I made the appropriate ummhumm'ing noises while silently thinking "SHE'S NOT A SHOW PONY SHE'S A PERSON."

But maybe I'm weird!

Are/were you excited for everyone in your life to "meet the baby!" (<--- 10 points if you get the reference )
