Do you have multiple definitions of showing? Like my SO can tell, my BFF can tell, my workout buddies can tell, work people can tell, strangers can tell?
I feel like it is pretty fluid.
Friends can tell now but I can hide it. When do you say you are showing? When do you say someone else is showing?

Good question! I based it more so on whether I could tell the difference in the mirror. I posted a few pics on HB to get opinions and the results were mixed. My husband could feel the difference, but it wasn't noticeable to him for a long time. Others could see it if I pointed it out, but for the most part people thought I gained weight just in my belly and wasn't sucking in. Now, there's no mistake. I started getting unprompted questions from people around 17/18 weeks based on belly alone. People noticed other body changes way before my belly became a definite bump.
If I had to guess I say I notice other pregnant bellies around 5 or 6 months.

It is pretty fluid but to me, it was the difference of whether I could hide it or not.

When it was obvious that it was not just cheeseburger weight. The bump was out of proportion to my body.

When it looks bigger than usual. Not just a big meal. I think strangers started noticing around 4-5 months. My bump is OUT there when I'm pregnant though.
I don't say anything to others. I usually wait to see if they bring it up. Or I wait to see if their bump gets noticeably bigger - and even then, I still wait for them to mention it!

To me it is when you look pregnant versus just looking like you've had too much beer!

I define it as when strangers can tell. If it's not clear someone's pregnant, I don't consider them to be showing yet. I didn't show tell late in my pregnancy (about 6 months to even start to look pregnant), and it drove me crazy thatch wasn't showing yet.

I defined it as when strangers could tell. I've gained my pregnancy weight all over, and even though I was definitely a lot bigger, people were still surprised to find out I was pregnant until I was almost 7 months along. It drove me crazy, like @lindsaylou. I finally got my first public "bump" comment when I was 31 weeks!

I agree with pps, when strangers can tell. Unfortunately for me its really early around 14 weeks and then people go on and on about how I've been pregnant forever.

Interesting takes! Glad it is pretty varied. I could tell myself on and off around 12 weeks. 17 weeks and my gym buddies and close friends can tell but I generally just look fat. I remember it was similar last time. I just never know what to say when people ask! Like if I wore a tight yoga top the answer is different than if I wear a blouse for clinic.

@oliviaoblivia: I started showing really early with the second and I got so many "pregnant forever" comments. No kidding I'd been pregnant forever, thanks for the reminder!!
@HLK208: yup I totally don't mention it unless it's super duper obvious. The nurse in our ped office is 30 weeks and I still waited for her to mention it just in case!

I definitely think I cross that line earlier than others think I have! Hate that period when I start wearing tighter shirts bc "duh I'm so pregnant looking" to realize later that others still didn't know either way
