FIL passed away when DH was a kid, so I only have MIL. I love her. She gets on my nerves sometimes, but everybody does LOL

I like my in-laws, except for my drama queen MIL. DH and I actually try to avoid her.

I have a really good relationship with MIL (now) but I loathe FIL (if I never see him again it'll be too soon). MIL's extended family and I have a hate-hate relationship. They are ignorant beyond belief and to them religion comes over happiness.

FIL & stepMIL are ok. MIL is a disaster and has been terribly cruel to my SIL, so I definitely don't like her.

@sunny: at least you don't have to see them all the time...but it's tough bc all visits are extended. hang in there!
If I'm being honest I tolerate them which makes me sad bc I used to love them

I love them more than I love most of my family. They are my family now.

FIL passed away before I met dh. I've only met MIL two or three times, which were big family gatherings so I barely even talked to her beyond a "hello, how are you" sort of thing. I probably would have really loved fil though, my husband tells so many cute, corny dad jokes he got from him. The way dh adores him and speaks so fondly of him makes me think I would love him if he were still alive.

MIL passed away when Dh was 16. I love my FIL! He is quiet and reserved in public but just a goofy great hearted guy otherwise. He makes me feel very welcome. We just got back from visiting him last weekend, he was delighted to see the boys.

I like them okay, but I wouldn't say that I love them.
It's hard, because I had a great relationship with my ex's family. Actually, both of our families got along great together. I wish I had that warm, open relationship with my current ILs, but I'm working on it.

I voted other, because I feel drastically different about my MIL and FIL. I wish there were options for Love one, hate the other type situations!

I absolutely love my MIL and FIL... I'm way closer to my MIL than I am to my own mother. However, my SIL can send me into rage feelings pretty quickly!

I consider them my own parents! they take care of me like i'm the daughter they always wanted

I'm neutral towards them, but lean more towards love them. They're very nice and would do anything for us but they don't seem to get the whole "keep your opinion to yourself" thing.
