I am really making a huge effort to be more present and listen to the kids when they talk. But it is no easy feat!
Our eldest (he turns 5 in December) just talks so fast, and also has so many questions. I really have to focus to truly listen to what he's saying, and I don't always have the mental stamina to keep up with him. Working on it though!

Nope, it might be terrible but sometimes for my sanity I have to just smile and nod to what she is babbling about because I can only take in so much and answer so many questions at any given time.

I am trying to be better. I spent too long in the summer just looking and not listening. They noticed. They deserve more!
